I thought this was some sort of strategy survival game, kind of like Last Spell.

But instead, I got Anno and quite frankly, it was a pretty fun experience.

Use to buy the occasional bundle to support the development of this free game. Came back to the game after a long break and is disappointment with the attempt this game tries to monetize every aspect of it.

Play it Free to Play or don't play it at all. There are so many upgrade that you can pay for with real money, that it doesn't make sense to pay for any of them.

I hate the D&D system, but I love Baldur's Gate 3. 9/10

I bought it for 18 dollar on humble bundle and this is a more realistic price for this DLC.

I have mixed feelings about this game, but it is overall a net positive with only room for improvement from updates and expansion. (Like big expansions with new mechanic and overhaul, not additional culture like the African dlc)

No matter what you do, Fame is the deciding factor for winning.

Narrative wise, it make sense, the whole point is to leave the biggest mark in history. Just like in real life, even though Roman and Mongols are gone, they left a mark in history of humankind that many modern day nation will never manage to achieve, but as a game mechanic it is terrible.

In my first completed play through of the game at endless pacing of 600 turn, I got 3rd. Brazil came out first, and it made sense. They were the strongest civilization in military, land, and science, but I was a close second. However, they had nearly double my Fame score because the fame mechanic just didn't feel as intuitive in your conventional 4x game. In CIV, your score did a good job reflecting the strength and success of your empire, but in this game, your fame depends on whether you complete your Civilization's Era stars or not, especially the one your civilization specialize in. I had less fame than a civilization that was 2 era behind me. By every metric, I built the better empire, but because I didn't gear my gameplay to farming Fame, an objectively weaker empire was ranked higher than me.

It felt like I was playing Mario party where everything that happened in the middle doesn't matter, it just matter how many stars I earned by the end of the game, and truthfully, I don't think this is the direction for humankind.

A lot of the game mechanic is different from Civ and I find it interesting and compelling, so it is worth trying preferably at a discounted price. But at the end of the day, it just make me want to play Endless Legend or Endless Space 2 where the game is fully developed with the expansions that were released for those games.

I don't know why, but this game forces my NZXT software to think that the CPU is at 100 degree, causing the fans to just go WVRRRRRRRRR!

It is a false reading, since Intel Tuning Utility gave a more reasonable reading, but it is still annoying. Game is worth a try. Conceptually seems fun.

Got into a match. Walk to the first harvester a rat teleports around me. Rat never stops teleporting. It is only teleporting.

Definitely an interesting game for those who like games like Diablo or PoE. It is definitely at a playable and enjoyable state, but it is also worth waiting if you want the game to be more polished, servers more stable, and bug-free.

Literally over half of the people's criticism of the game is that there was extended maintenance on the game release because there was more people playing than the server can handle. That isn't something that really carries throughout a game's lifespan.

3/3 will buy again.
