The story is good, the combat is fun and dynamic, the scenery is dark and atmospheric, the companions diverse and interesting. I can't wait to keep playing. So far this game is absolutely epic.

edit: Finished the game at 89 hours and it was amazing. Although act 2 was a bit of a slog the last act absolutely delivered and the story came to an epic conclusion. It's not as good as DA:O but close. Definitely an improvement from DA2 and DA:I. Hopefully we won't have to wait another 10 years for the next installment.

If only the company valued transparent communication more than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ exclusivity agreement between nitrado and wildcard and a rushed EA release. Apart from the server situation and constant client crashes (that are somewhat expected in a EA state) the game is tons of fun if you play it with friends. The game looks absolutely stunning.

I've bought this game a while ago and it was a hoot. As someone who loves tactical games and roguelikes, The Last Spell combines the best aspects of both genres. This game is worth a buy for the soundtrack alone.

I've spent so many hours playing this game, it's a love-hate-relationship. Playing it with friends is much more fun than playing alone.
