That statement alone is enough to measure the greatness of this game.

But besides that, never ending content updates, a very, very good Dev Team that actually listens to the community and implements changes based on the player base are some of the aspects that define this game as one of the best kept and maintained MMOs on the market.

Over the years I have played many things, and this is the one game that got me hooked into Tanking. The isn't necessarily easy but it isn't a never ending grind either, Raiding is a challenge for every player and mechanics are very well thought and implemented.

The Campaign is amazing and the story will leave you intrigued. At some points the writing may be cringe but then again, what story isn't? There's so much to do that you will never find yourself bored and looking for something to do.

Combat starts out a bit slow, but gets progressively better the higher you level, so just hang in there at the start and you will find yourself hooked in no time.
Various classes introduce various play styles which make the game even more fluid and diverse. It's isn't just a question of being a Tank/DPS/Healer, it's a question of choosing the one that best suits your play style and needs. You will never forced to pick a class because it's better then another one, except of course, when you do the latest Raid content, where Raid Utility is a necessity to improve the overall effectiveness of the group.

The controls are nice and fluid, and this game has, what I would call, the best controller support for any MMO on the market, ever. Never have I thought it possible to play a Tab-Target MMO with a Controller and yet I stand corrected.

The community is amazing and ready to help you out with whatever question you have. No one will judge you for being a noob or starting out, because at the start we were all lost anyways.

And last but not least, the first two expansions are literally free with no payment required, so try the game out and see what you think of it. As for me, I'll keep stacking hours on top of hours.

Have fun exploring Eorzea, it is definitely an amazing and worthwhile adventure.

I have played this game since before the F2P factor punched in. Sadly, I have to say it hasn´t gotten the treatment it deserves. This used to be such a huge expansive game, amazing community(which some still reside here) and great gameplay. Sadly, it all went to ♥♥♥♥ when they introduced a thing called "Archetypes", they take your power to be the superhero you want to be and limit you to a certain element/weapon while the paying users continue with their mobile powerhouses.
The story though, is quite amazing, you will get tangled in the Lore if you pay close attention to it, and it leaves you wishing for the rest the first time you play this, the start not so much, but just rush through that and you will find yourself intrigued.
Overall the game´s devs aren´t the best right now, and their updates are pretty crappy, but the game still finds itself playable. If you enjoy being all mighty play this and good luck.

Ok. After playing more than 100 hours of this fun game, I decided it was time to write a review. Dota 2 is a very good game in my opinion. I run it on a 7 year old toaster with around 40-50 fps (Nvidia GeForce 9300MS / Intel 2.8 Ghz ). After being introduced from League of Legends to Dota 2 it took sometime to get used to the new habits (tp scrolls and such) so after messing with it around 20 hours i got the hang of it. This game is extremely fun if you are willing to put at side the fact that loosing sucks ass. Of course this is all about that early game, you farm for the gold, get items and fight, sustain your lane and such, standard MOBA, but what makes it good is the plays you can make in this immense map, take for example Spectre, a hero who´s skill can make her go through trees and walls, i made so many jukes with that, and the vision factor in the map. I can safely say playing other MOBAs will never be the same. So, final review? Yes, play this game. With time you will get used to it and start to like it.
Also another tip, there are good Russians and bad Russians, avoid the bad ones, besides that you will do well in the community, also, prayers to the miracle that is Steam Market for offering set parts at 4 cents :)
