Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's my decaying interest in playing MultiVersus!

--- Pros ---
  • Vast cast of memorable characters.
  • 2v2 fights are fun and chaotic.

--- Cons ---
  • PvE content gated by cosmetics.
  • Cannot try characters in Practice mode.
  • "Do x number of y type attacks" missions does not help us improve as players.

While i do understand that player retention is a important thing for companies these days, i think they overdid it in MultiVersus: if you want to unlock all the stuff be ready for a lot of grind/money... oh and make sure you drag along a friend since PvE missions require that... and don't think its a one time thing since there is also the same requirement on daily missions.

If you rummage through the reviews already made for the game, taking aside the positive meme reviews, you will also find people complaining about the game being slower than it was in beta. For me it is fine as is, but then again i was never that good at the game where it made any difference, so what do i know?

Not being able to try characters in practice mode is not only a con for us players, it is for the game stakeholders as well. Not capitalising on impulse buys?! (they added this on patch 1.01... who would have thunk it...)
And let me emphasise this again: PvE content gated by cosmetics! What this means, is that to play some of the PvE content you will need to have specific skins. Since when cosmetics are not just cosmetics?! Thanks Warner Bros!

Are video games art? Yes they are!

---Pros---
  • Simple mechanics.
  • Great puzzles that will defy your brain.
  • Great sound track.
  • Mind-blowing.

---Cons---
  • If English is not your native language you might struggle a bit with some words in the story.

If there was any doubt that video games are art Braid came to dismiss that! It was one of the motivators of the golden age of indie games - a single developer, an artist and a few music compositors were not only responsible for this gorgeous and awe-inspiring game but also of planting the seed of belief on several others indie developers. You owe it to yourself to play this game if you like puzzle platformers, and if not i still cant recommend it enough since its a hell of a ride.

Don't let the game's name discourage you!

---Pros---
  • Unique Experience
---Cons---
  • Short (less than 3 hours for a full run)
This is one of those games that is best experienced going in blind not knowing what it is all about (maybe you should stop reading it's reviews!). I highly encourage you to grab it on a sale (since the base price might be a bit high for the amount of content) and enjoy the game.

Not all games should be about fun!

--- Pros ---
  • Good storytelling
  • Art style and music
  • Will make you feel the feels
  • The puzzle aspect of the game keeps changing/adding rules
--- Cons ---
  • Slow
  • Boring
  • Clumsy interface
  • (this are not actually cons read below for further explanation)
You play the role of an Inspector on a border checkpoint and your job is to put stamps on passports. You gain little to no money from your job and have to provide for your family. You will see many people wanting to cross borders in hopes of getting a better life but you find a discrepancy on their documents and you reject their entry... because its your job!

For this facts some might say "Papers, Please" is a slow, boring game with clumsy interface... and i will not argue with that...

That is its purpose! And by doing this it makes it the most humane game i ever played! Your character is as miserable as the people trying to cross the border! From doing a monotonous and meticulous job to having to toss/move papers around, everything makes it belivable and brings you in to the reality of their dystopia!

I found myself laughing, saddened, puzzled and even mad while playing the game. What more can you ask of a game?

Mandatory: GLORY TO ARSTOTZKA!
