As a new player who missed the original Oblivion, I'm genuinely impressed. The visual upgrade in this remaster is truly stunning, and the world of Cyrodiil feels vibrant and expansive. The core RPG experience is fantastic, and I am enjoying the initial questlines.

However, even in my short time with the game (only 4 hours), the sheer number of bugs I've encountered is astonishing and frankly, concerning. I've experienced several incorrect quest markers and frequently stuck NPCs, which has halted story progression. I've had to reload saves multiple times to fix this, and I highly recommend saving often because of this instability.

While the game is gorgeous and the potential is clearly there, the lack of stability makes me worried about the long-term playability and technical state of the game. I want to recommend this title purely based on the experience, but be prepared for a very classic, very buggy Bethesda title.
