Everyone is shocked about Sony's latest actions in making PSN accounts a requirement but I'm really not. Sony has been completely disconnected from consumer satisfaction since the dawn of the PS consoles. I'm not satisfied even if Sony removes the requirement of account linking for this game.

I opened a Sony PSN account 12 years ago in a different country than where I reside now. Sony refuses to let me close/deactivate my account. Sony's support in the country I reside in won't do anything and says to reach out to the Sony branch in the country of origin... where they literally don't even pick up the phone and their chatbots say ALL THEIR AGENTS ARE BUSY no matter the time of day you try.

I'm pretty sure if you search "Sony" across 3rd-party complaint sites (i.e., BBB) for any product and in any year, you'll find them #1 EVERY TIME.

It's 2024 and Sony still operates like it's 2004. They get away with way too much! I'd boycott anything Sony until they change their attitude towards consumers.
