This game looked like a blast to play, from the live streams, other creators, and the year of build up. Unfortunately it has not been executed like it should of been.

To add a positive note to this review, the game looks and control/game play wise plays nicely. It's definitely a tactical shooter, and set in the right era for this kind of set. Having to search for enemy positions and clear buildings is fun (Let alone you have to basically do it solo) but still enjoyable.

But, I have been trying to join multiplayer for two hours. The game can not be played with friends, one or two can join a match but the others can not. An error keeps appearing saying "Internet connection lost, or host has left game" which is not truly happening. I have tested my internet multi-pal times and it's above stander for this game (I can run R6, COD, Ground Branch, Need for speed, Tabletop Sim, Hearts of Iron IV, ect online just fine.) My wife, who's in the same household can join ever other game we try and play. There seems to be a deep issue with the connection of the game, no forms have answers, as well as no answers on epic or anti cheat systems for outages\connection solutions. This connection issue and lack of ability to get help or answers is an Unfortunate killer for this game, one that relies on teamwork and having others to play with. If something changes in the future to make it easier to play with buddies on it'll be worth it, but until then steer clear.

Nightingale, a game as of me writing this, has almost 14 hours of play time from myself. (8.6\10)

To start let's talk about the only negative I really have. This game has a tendency to become confusing. After the tutorial your kinda pushed off on your own with a goal. The goals are labeled clearly on the right side of the HUD, but some of them require multipart steps to complete. I had found myself a few times creating or doing the wrong thing to achieve the goal. But that's truly the only bad part of this game, and with it being in early access and open beta, not much to complain about.

Now for the good, to start this game is what survival-crafting SHOULD BE! It blows games like Raft, The Forest and other open survivals I have played. The way you can control the environment, build and upgrade is amazing and shows clear thought. Secondly, the idea of this game is amazing, from the art style of the Fey to the sketches you get of "other worlds" is stunning. The idea of being lost in a 'madness' of fey realms and other dimensions was beautiful, and the ability to travel them felt unique and easy to achieve. (Don't worry it makes you work for it, but in a fun and earning way) The creature\hostile mob creation reminds me of a Souls like style, you have to take a moment to think before you act in fast manners. Take your time exploring and seeing the world, this is not a blow through game. Lastly is the beauty of it, I don't run the most specked PC, and I can run this fine with stunning graphics. It does have that classic indi\rust like character look but to me that's part of the joy of this game.

Nightingale is a 8.6\10, It has made it's way into my heart and my personal top 10 list! I would highly recommend this game to others (and I have, and they have proceeded to love it). I have been following this game since its announcement on TikTok and other platforms!

This is a good game, Its got all the right parts. Its when minecraft meets day z its all about stright survival. Play on your own or with fraends on servers.
