The last R&C I played was A Crack in Time. I never got a PS4. So I was super excited to see R&C on PC! I've played ~1000hrs of the PS2 R&C games, and had a ton of fun in this game. It isn't as replayable as older games in the series, and I would love to have a better arena... BUT, there's something so fun about this game. The love that went into it. The comedy is decent. The cutscenes have emotion (also a ton of cutscenes. Skippable though) and there's real development in the character.

Overall I would recommend this, even if you've been away from the series for a while. The best part is getting good at all of the movement tech!

Decent game. There weren't any truly complex puzzles though. I got it on a deal so it wan't so bad that the game was so short.
For a game more focused on 'hacking' try hacknet.

I just feel like this game could have gone so much farther than it did.

I'm 54 hours in and am not even close to being bored. Its great to chill out with friends and mine away. There is a ton of progression you can go through. The caves are always unique and interesting. The focus being about coop play and less about one class being better than another makes for great fun. You can play solo, with friends, or random people online. I've run into many cool people and will say that the community is great at teaching greenbeards how to get better.

Short:
Play with friends. Players are typically not accepting of new players, just because they are bad. Play with friends. Solo is alright in loud missions and worse in stealth. Good game overall. Play with friends even if only 1.
Long:
The worst part of the game is probably the players. Typically people are toxic and will instant kick/ban people in stealth for the smallest reason. Try and find a team to play with early on to learn with each other through the game. Usually the higher leveled/infamied people are quicker to get mad at a new player for being new. This is a great game to play with friends. Friends are the key to the fun. When playing with friends it is at its best, but having to play with a random team it can be too mentally taxing. The changes to the AI team help when doing loud missions solo. Solo stealth is when there is a worse grind. I will again stress that the best way to experience the game is with friends.

It really pulls you in. After a while you realize you have played too long.
After another 180 hours, I still highly recommend this if you are of an optimization mindset. Everything is connected to everything and when you want to move forward one step you have many other things you could fix up to make things go better. Just make sure to give yourself plenty of room. No point keeping everything bunched up.

Very fun in early tiers. Past that it's a grinding fest and hard to get started when everyone else has upgraded ships and your stock.

I bought this game a few years ago. It was fun but it had so much to learn about and do. I left it for a bit and come back to an abandoned game.
