proc chain go brrrrrrrr

One of my favorite games ever. Endless fun breaking the game, but also endless torment for the challenges ahead, so be ready if you're the completionist type.

This game is the renewed version of its predecessor and still stands as a mack daddy in rogue-like gameplay, and it still has its staying power today, and in fact has received some DLC updates, with another big one on the way planned for 2019.

This game will be hard to someone unfamiliar with twin-stick shooter-style games, but don't let that dissuade you from not getting the game, as learning is one of the most fun aspects of the experience. I remember me and my brother playing alongside each other when we first got this and we were gushing about new stuff to each other on our respective runs. Not to mention, as you learn, you'll find hidden aspects of the game as you read wikis, or item descriptions on wikis or cheat sheets (as necessary) which will help your gut-instinct parts of playing the game.

Get this game, but be ready for a long haul if you want to complete it.
