Fun, Chaotic, Co Op PvE shooter. Spreading Managed Democracy has been a blast so far.

The online play is stupidly addicting. It's so hard to stop once I get going in a good room. The universal mechanics are overall fairly intuitive to understand and do, movesets of most characters work well and make sense too. I do feel Drive Rush in neutral is a bit awkward of a move to do, in general this game is well worth your money. Even if you aren't confident in your abilities, Modern Controls do wonders to help bridge the gap. It is definitely n ot 'training wheels' mode. I've fought plenty of Modern players who were very challenging to take on.

One of the best sims I've played, the amount of good and evil you can commit is staggering.

Early Access Review
Lot of Potential and a lot of fun. Pretty challenging, might need a little more tweaking to some base mechanics still, but there is tons of potential.

I went in to this game not expecting much. The last AC game I played was Black Flag, and while I thought it was really cool conceptually, it just didn't grab me for long. However, Odyssey was signifcantly more fun... more similar in style to The Witcher for gameplay structure. Combat was fun (played on Hard difficulty), progression for my character was fun, and the story was good enough to keep me going.

The world design and graphics are top notch... this was the biggest draw to keep me playing. Exploring and seeing more of the sights scattered around Greece.

Monster Hunter World is an incredible game, easily one of my favorite games in the series and probably my favorite game this year.

Sadly it's far from a perfect product at this time, due to;
  • Poor Performance and Optimization. I don't have a powerful machine, but I can get the game playable. But the game is incredibly demanding and doesn't feel like it should be.
  • Connection Problems all over. I'm actually able to get a fair bit of time in with friends, but it feels like the game goes through phases where staying connected is incredibly difficult. Developers are working on a fix currently and hopefully they can fix this huge issue.

The actual gameplay is incredibly satisfying though. My friends and I are more than willing to put up with the warts, because it's just so much fun to play. I've chosen to play with Mouse & Keyboard, which I find completely useable. I know many don't like the mouse because of the reverse acceleration, but generally I haven't been bothered by this myself. Just keep in mind that as of this review, it exists.

Update: Connection Problems were pretty much fixed months ago. I rarely have any connection issues anymore. Optimization is still not the greatest, but it's servicable at least. Game is still one of my favorites in the series and I'd still heavily recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful and Scary at the same time. This is easily the best Survival game I have played. They did a great job evoking the fear and wonder of the deep. The story is relatively simple, but that's to be expected of a scenario where your primary goal is to survive. I loved the way you had to explore and scan to get all the informatino to get the complete story.

Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

After playing this for a couple hours I can safely recommend this game to anyone that is a fan of challenging Rogue-Like mechanics and action games. It is like a side scrolling version of Binding of Isaac, but with multiplayer support (and in my opinion, much tighter controls). Although, I would strongly recommend using a controller to play, I did not find keyboard control that great.

Single player the game is crazy challenging, but multiplayer is a little easier, and much much more fun.

I don't feel this game is going to be for everyone, but I've enjoyed my time in it so far. The world is fairly interesting to find out about and I've enjoyed trying to predict the skills I'm going to need. It's definately a game that only has a limited amount of interesting gameplay, due to the fact that the story / events are very linear. That said, it appears to have a lot of branching elements to it, which should give enough content to make it interesting for a while at least.

The art is something you are either going to hate or love... I for one enjoy the overal 'cute' factor of the art when it is coupled with a lot of the sometimes very dark themes happening in the game.

I will say that it feels like it's going to be awhile and a challenge to actually get Princess Elodie to make it to her coronation alive though.

Ultimately, if you find the entire concept of a japanese style visual novel boring, this game won't change that opinion at all. However, if you have even a slight interest or curiosity about the genre, this could be a pretty fun look in to that world.
