Absolute butchering of a great game with a unbelievably bad port, the fact that this ♥♥♥♥ is still up with the bugs it has and the fact that they ruined the first game in the series is borderline D I S G R A C E F U L

-random 30fps cap bug, random times the game will keep jumping from 60 fps to 30 fps lock, does have a fix that requires you to change DEP settings...
-the game will randomly input whatever you have the left trigger assigned to, even when you arent pressing ANYTHING, even if you have NO CONTROLLER plugged in
-music in story mode scenes are completely gone from the console version, despite the files for them still being included in the game's directory, basically bloating the file size with files that are straight up useless anyway.

I loved this back when I played it on console back when it was first released, so I was excited to revisit the entire series, only to be kicked in the ♥♥♥♥ with this godawful butchering of one of my favorite games.


The only reason I have this still is because I bought this as part of the BB collection bundle back when it was on sale, which means I can't get a refund on it. Avoid this trash port unless for some reason they finally decide to pull their heads of their butts and fix it. If you're like me and want to revisit the series from the beginning for its 10th anniversary, go pick up the console version on Xbox360/ps3, or the psp version. OR emulate with either RPCS3 or ppsspp. There is no excuse for this port still remaining on here in its current state.

I'm only near the beginning of the game and I already like where this is going. Though word of warning, this game is an absolute nightmare to configure for AMD users.

This update killed the game for me. I can't recommend this anymore.
This game used to be fun to play and beautiful to look at, ran really smoothly, and for an early access game was pretty stable.
But now, the models that used to be almost 1:1 exact to their models from the show are now replaced these cheap knockoffs. The update runs at some really bad framerates even on the lowest settings. The lighting can get really obnoxious, the biggest offender being at the end Forever Fall part two, where near the end of the level after defeating a wave of grimm you are greeted by THIS GIANT SUN IN YOUR FACE. When you get to that part for the love of god TURN DOWN THE BRIGHTNESS ON YOUR SCREEN, YOU WILL THANK ME LATER. Ontop of that, there are parts of some levels that you can now fall through the floor, or cause the stage to CLIP THROUGH ITSELF. None of this was a problem in the previous update.
They've also made attacks weaker, making Grimm take longer to kill. What was once a fun gameplay style turns into a chore when waves now take FOREVER to finish.
The enjoyment factor for this game has gone down TREMENDOUSLY. If this is the direction this game is going in, then count me out. I'm done. I used to be hyped for a RWBY game was hoping it would eventually come to consoles so I can get some of my friends in on this too. But as it stands now, I can't recommend this.
I hope the dev team proves me wrong with future updates. I backed up the previous update and now I'm reverting back to it. So I can remember the fun times this game used to be.

This port had launch was a mess, but now its all good.
