Constant updates means that at times this feels more like a crazy build house, where every floor is designed by a different architect. However it is a good title at heart, proven you can see past the grind mill. Microtransactions are about cosmetics and inventory space, while you can buy weapons with plat I would not recommend it, too pricey. In comparison to Destiny 2, Warframe plays a bit faster at times, given how easy it is to chain jumps dodges and glide abilities together to potentially go fast.

Occasionally this gets lumped in with 4X games.
Personally I don't really think this is a 4X game, but more of a RTS borrowing a few systems from 4X games.

On the empire management side you will be busy colonizing planets and constructing various types of buildings in said planets gravity well, such as ship yards, turrets, science stations and ore mines. Resource gathering happens on a per tick basis, you construct a mine and receive a steady income per tick. Cost for construction and research however is upfront.

On the military side the game is more about fleet composition than micro management. Certain ships do have the ability to cast "spells" but in the end it feels that a well thought out fleet composition is more important.
