skip this one completely, unless you for some reason are aiming to 100% every neptunia game in existence, like myself. or, if you want one of the quickest and easiest 100% achievements of your life. or, if you just like wasting money.

my playtime to beat this game was 3 hours 35 minutes (recorded by the game, but my steam playtime is close enough). and by "beat this game" by that i mean "to get every single achievement". it took that long. for a game that's worth £13 on sale and £33 off sale. if youre not getting 100% achievements, i think you'd finish the game in around 1-2 hours... i can't believe they're charging that much for a game with this little content and replay value...

usually there's something entertaining about the characters and their dialogue, which gives neptunia games their charm, but honestly, it felt like there was none of that in this game, and i just ended up skipping every single scene after a while.

the story? game was too short for me to even care about the story. and it just wasnt good to begin with, no actually, i cant even say it was decent either... you don't play neptunia games for kojima level storytelling, but you expect there to be something half decent and somewhat engaging to follow, right?

the grind for the last 2 achievements i had? miserable. but it is a neptunia game, and theres miserable achievements in some other games as well... but i think going for them actually made up a third of my playtime...

get every single bike upgrade? easy, right? just credit farm for what feels like an eternity (even though you're just running 30 second stages for 2-3k credits each)
drive 200km? yeah just go pick a stage and drive in circles around it, done in 30-50 minutes (i think? i kind of lost track of time... i spaced out after a while)

honestly if i played the game normally instead of speedrunning those achievements maybe i wouldve enjoyed it more

edit: i think ive been pretty harsh on the game, but that's just because of its price, really. i didnt really have any problems when actually playing the game, apart from the length, questionable story and it becoming really repetitive, and its a decent time waster... but anything good in the game gets overshadowed by its stupid price tag.

i read the reviews. i knew what i was heading into. i just wanted the 100% on my profile, and was it worth it? not really.
tldr: game is not really very enjoyable. way too short for the price tag. save your money, this game really isnt worth it. unless of course, the price drops down maybe below £7 or £8, i suppose.

but hey, at least i've got another neptunia level 5 steam badge and another neptunia game for the completionist showcase!!!

ballisticng is honestly the best anti gravity racer in the entire industry right now
solid mechanics with a ton of content, spread out across the base game as well as expansions, not to mention the custom ships/tracks and mod support.
soundtrack is amazing, especially when you're in a survival aiming for those high zone runs
want those ps1-style graphics for the nostalgia? toggle on those retro features and have those wobbly graphics that i seem to be pretty fond of for some reason

overall? great game, buy it, it's worth every penny
