An amazing game that starts out well lit and generally safe, then slowly pulls you into deeper and darker and more dangerous waters as you work to get off the planet. The sound design is fantastic, as anyone can attest the first time they hear a Reaper.

I generally avoid survival games, since they generally all fit the same mold, and Subnautica intrigued me from the perspective of not being on land 95% of the time and thus creating something more interesting from the survival game mold. I picked it up in Early Access, and the final product I got was well worth the wait.

The only improvement I can think of would be a two-player co-op mode, but that'd have to wait for a sequel.
