This is a charming game that is obviously a labor of love. The art is fun, the characters are charming and engaging, the cut scenes are fun, and the voice acting was a fun surprise. There are tons of little details and surprises to find while playing. I've been following this game through its development and it is wonderful to see it grow. The final polish on it is great.

And the price is great. :D

This is a fun game to play with friends. The shooting feels good, and the story is fun. Runs great on just about any PC.

Rough around the edges, it is still one of the best tools available for friends online.

I wish I could recommend this game, but the truth is that its controls are clunky, its graphics are inconsistent, its performance is spotty, and there is less and less hope every day that this game will ever be 'finished.'

The constant push for additional funding from the players and the 'yard sale' look of most of the cities thanks to the persistent player housing pulls you out of the fantasy as well.

Elite Dangerous is a fantastic simulator. It is the perfect game to boot up when you want feel like you're really flying a spaceship in the fast empty edges of space. Especially if you're using a good HOTAS controller and voice control software to give it that extra sci-fi touch.

And that is what this game does best: Immersion. It lands the feel of everything right, and is more akin to Euro Truck Simulator than it is Wing Commander. So put on some podcasts or your best music, sit back, and take off.
