I'll break down my review in sections.

Story: I like the reboot of the story and the story as a whole stays fluid and makes a LOT more sense than the original (which is to be expected of course). The atmosphere of the new Raccoon City, new and old area's we visit are really well designed and I enjoyed my time looking around and investing my time into actually searching for secret items and getting rewarded for backtracking to area's also. I must say though, the story in hindsight is far too short. They definitely cut out some pieces of the story from the original that definitely decreased the campaign's length which is a shame. I'd highly recommend your first playthrough on Hardcore instead of Standard.

Gameplay: As I said previously in the story, I enjoyed the gameplay a lot. I never had a dull moment in this game. The only dull moment was the length of the campaign. There's so many secret's laying around and the rewards you get for taking your time to explore area's and uncover all the weapons and weapon parts is very rewarding and extremely handy in the future of the campaign. The Dodge Mechanic is super useful and it feels pretty cool when you time it right, especially on Nemisis. My only personal issue I had was where Nemisis or one of the strong infected could practically hit lock you to oblivion in some instances and if you're on a much higher difficulty it's basically an instant death.

Nemisis: I have to say I LOVE the new redesign of him. He's just as scary if not scarier than the original & I much prefer him over Mr X. Although I'm a little disappointed they made his appearances in the story more cinematic based the chases are scary as anything. Even though the scenes where he chases you are a lot LESS frequent than Mr X's I was far more scared of Nemisis than Mr X.

Costumes: I'm really disappointed with the decrease of costumes on this game. RE2 Remake had a TON of costumes from release and RE3 hardly get's any. The ORIGINAL RE3 had MORE costumes than this one and that's with me beating all the difficulties, there's still no unlockable costumes for beating any of the difficulties. I like the costumes that are in here, but c'mon Capcom you know you can do better than that. I have no doubt they'll release more in the future, but the fact RE2 had more on release than RE3 is pretty disappointing to say the least.

Overall: Resident Evil 3 is a gorgeous game that has an amazing story, but the story is cut far too short. I cannot say that the game standalone is worth £50 with the length of the campaign, as much as I enjoyed it I really cant. If you're a die-hard RE fan I'd say buy this 100%, but if you're choosing between this and another game? You should wait on this a little before getting it. Capcom cut corners on RE3 100%. They told everyone Resistance is a "Free" Game along with RE3, but the reality is that you're paying for that too with how much story time you get in this game. They chucked Resistance in with RE3 to justify the price tag and that just doesn't sit right with me. I hope Capcom will put more time into their Remakes wherever they go next. They definitely did RE3 dirty, but it's still a great game.

Overall Score: 8/10

If you're looking for a co-op experience that'll make you laugh your ass off with your friend this is definitely the game for you. It also has a decent story with characters that stand out. Especially the Psychopaths.
