What a great game! At least as enjoyable as the original. Great story, fun side quests, didn't screw up any of the good mechanics from the first game (primarily the combat system), added some complexity to equipment that is more fun than annoying (which it is at times). In the endgame you're a little OP, but that's probably more good than bad (and I assume although never checked that you can up the difficulty).

I did run into some bugs (e.g. horses occasionally doing weird stuff, specifically when starting on a horse directly after a cut scene; showing up at a weird time for a tournament causing the whole thing to glitch and not initiate any of the sequence; helmet or other armor glitching through head). Nothing was game breaking, just required a quick search and reloading my last save at worst. While that's not ideal I was not disappointed given the game is only a couple weeks past launch.

The only gameplay complaint I have is with the enemy bots, who are just godawful at anything other than 1v1 combat. It would be great to see them use some tactics instead of lining up in nice lines to either get shot in the face with a bow or picked apart one by one in close combat. I don't think this is necessarily an easy problem to solve and don't really expect it though, it just is the one thing that regularly breaks immersion.

Very fun to play through at regular difficulty and fairly easy to min/max party such that combat and checks are pretty much guaranteed. Owlcat and GW did a great job including a lot of lore, equipment and neat skill combos. Definitely has replay value and I can't wait to see what DLC drops.

Literally the greatest game ever.

Run around and kill everyone. Lots of fun trying to get that perfect run through, or a 14-kill streak.

Requires complex tactics and significant analysis of unit capabilities. Combined arms and careful unit control are key to victory. For those of a tactical bent.

This game is for you.

If you aren't enjoying this game, the problem isn't the game -- it's you.

Just sit forward (seriously, don't relax, you'll die) and enjoy.
