Survivors of the void is a great little content expansion to the base game. Most of the content it contains meshes really well with the base game, and honestly feels like some of the content should have just came with the base game. New survivors are both fun, items are great, new endgame content and bosses is a bit to be desired, but besides that, SOTV is a great bonus addition to an already great game.

To start off, Silksong is a great game that I would recommend you play.

COMBAT/ENEMIES
An important thing to note about Silksong is its combat/enemies SHOULD NOT be compared to hollow knights. Almost every enemy in Silksong has 2+ attacks and much smarter ai, making the enemies in Silksong way more strong than those in hollow knight. Another "new" feature to Silksong is double damage being much more common. A large amount of basic enemies/bosses deal double damage in at least one of their attacks, so getting comfortable with pretty much starting out with only 3 lives can be a difficult thing to adjust to. Both of these factors (I feel) make the games exploration and combat feel much harder, but if you can get around this steep difficulty curve from hollow knight, it can be very rewarding.

AREAS
Silksong takes place in the kingdom of Pharloom, which is (roughly) double the size of Hollownest, making exploration and exploring an important aspect of the game. The areas (for the most part) feel great to explore, with the game having many paths to explore and discover, while also having a somewhat linear path to allow for easy traversal between areas. Each area feels unique and fun to discover, with plentiful amounts of items, npc, enemies, and bosses to find. Silksong definitely feels like a step up from hollow knight in regards to its kingdom, and is definitely one of the best aspects of the game.

BOSSES
Silksong's bosses are certainly one of the most difficult aspects of the game. The bosses in Silksong feel incredibly unique, with almost each new boss feeling very fun and rewarding, while also providing a lot of challenge. The only major issue to point out with some of the bosses, is the fact that some of the walk-ups back to the bosses (after you inevitable fail to them) can be very punishing. Overall. Team Cherry did a great job with designing these bosses and it definitely shows that those 8 years of work were put to good use.

MECHANICS
Silksong has a handful of unique and fun mechanics to mess around with. The crest system is a great addition, being able to change hornets moveset and tool usage, allowing for an even more in-depth build system. Many of the new tools, Silksongs version of charms, feel wildly fun to play with and use, giving a whole new way to fight and deal with foes. As you play, you will unlock more skills and abilities that keep adding onto Hornets moveset, with each adding more and more depth to the game.

CONCLUSION
Overall, Silksong is a great game that I have been having a really fun time with. The difficulty curve is a lot steeper than that of hollow knights, and the game can be frustrating at times, but throughout the games wonderful music, artwork, enemies, areas etc, it is 100% worth giving a try. Have fun!

This might just be the most life-changing experiences you will go through on this planet. Steam Engine Simulator has a beautiful and poetic way of teaching the basic instructions of a steam engine, and does it with enough though and care to allow for a sense of wonder and joyousness as you learn and play with the multiple valves and toggles the game provides. At the start, you may feel overwhelmed with the amount of options you are given, but I most 100% would recommend playing and experimenting with each of these tools, and understanding what they do, and how they function. After you have gotten a basic grasp of each tool. its time to start your journey of steam-producing. A lot of the settings provide diversity and enjoyment, so each time you boot up your old engine, there always something new to look for. The game provides hours and hours of fun experiences, not to mention laughs, as you get to know your engine. Overall, you can't ask for a better experience than Steam Engine Simulator, it provides every feature you can ask for in a game, and more! If there is one last thing I would have to say about this game, is that my life would not be the same without it, and I want to thank a majority of my triumphs in life to this game, thank you Steam Engine Simulator, for always being there for me, and being the best game I have ever played.

This dlc is nothing compared to what survivors of the void is, although it does have potential to be a second great dlc to ror2. What brings me joy is the fact the developers understood the issue of the dlc, and are trying to make it better with the 2.0 patch. I really hope everything turns out well, and this dlc can be something to look fondly on.
