A frat boy clinging to the fading light.
His cap’s turned backward, his laugh too loud,
Yet time marks him different in the younger crowd.
His hairline’s retreat, a slow surrender,
Hints at a past that he won’t remember.
Still, he crushes the keg, shouts “Bro, let’s go!”
Ignoring the whispers, the glances that show.
He’s the elder statesman of the beer pong game,
With wisdom in shots but none in shame.
“College forever!” his mantra, his creed,
Though the years betray what he tries to lead.
But perhaps in his heart, he knows the truth,
He’s chasing the echoes of his own youth.
For the frat house fades, and so will the cheers,
Leaving only the man who outstayed his peers. #Bald
