In 2011, a relatively obscure development studio known as FromSoftware released Dark Souls, thereafter, the souls series spawned an entire genre which absolutely changed how we play, see, and consume action oriented games. This groundbreaking accomplishment conceived by FromSoft was a nigh impossible formula to successfully replicate. Sure, there have been other developers that attempted the souls-like game play loop, but none have ever reached the same heights of which FromSoftware began in 2011.

This was until now.

TYRONE SOULZ is one of the greatest games to release, not of this year, not of this decade, but for all foreseeable time. Stretching from an ingenious system of gameplay that makes FromSoftware look like a Chinese mobile web developer, to a highly emotional, politically connected and thoroughly provoking experience that none other could possibly replicate in any medium. Playing TYRONE SOULZ is the gaming equivalent of soaring through the skies granted by divine angelic power, an euphoric experience second to none. Team SNEED artfully crafted a skilled renaissance-esque masterpiece yet likewise conceals an otherwise awe inspiring tale wrapped together in its deep yet simplistic delivery.

TYRONE SOULZ is an example of a development team using more than 100% of its potential. From the fight choreography, provocative yet unique and thoroughly inspiring dialogue (which is delivered through superb emotional voice acting), which confronts the player creating a deep relationship between the game and its player. One could only assume the immense amount of talent spilled for the sake of this immensely groundbreaking project. Team SNEED's attention to detail only enhances the story which grips you from the beginning to its very end, once you fall off of your seat, you WILL be begging for more - just as I did.

Though when engaging with this story, one must be careful. Team SNEED is sure to shock its players with twists serving to enhance the figurative 'ride' of its plot-line. I was especially saddened by the death of one of the police officers (won't say who to avoid spoilers!). The tear jerking flashback segments following the untimely death of a supportive police officer, including his wife and several overseas boyfriends served to remind me of how loyal they were to justice. To say nothing of the philosophical undertones of which Team SNEED engages with would be disrespectful to such finely crafted penmanship. Team SNEED's deep thought-provoking imagery, writing, and character development serves to rival that of even the greatest of enlightenment era artists. Such incredible writing cannot go unnoticed, I tip my black rimmed fedora to such succinct yet elaborate poets within the writing guild at Team SNEED. Remember, no character, regardless of how important, is safe! (Shockers!!). The score and OST only enhances this bone-chilling and absolutely jaw-dropping experience, flowing alongside its masterful writing to create definitively the greatest form of presentation possibly allowed in any medium. The only possible form of media of which I can compare it to in terms of its effortless yet masterfully intertwined delivery, would be the Shakespearean epic, Naruto Shipudden - which I loved to watch while my wife was out for overnight personal yoga lessons at Treyvon DeQuan's studio. It genuinely saddens me to know that there will be others going along life never even exposed to such a master craft which Team SNEED has produced. I shed tears for those who will be unable to reach this product due to its rather indie status and lack thereof of any genuine ability to advertise beyond the surface level.

TYRONE SOULZ's lack of mainstream appeal, may sadly relegate it to be no more than a hidden gem or cult classic. Though do not let that stop you from discovering the greatest games to ever release. The visionaries at Team SNEED proved once again that they are ready to raise the bar of modern gaming, and with it, the industry shakes in anticipation for their next release. My next soy latte goes to you, Team SNEED!

i wish there was a neutral option for reviews because it is ultimately not a terrible or objectively bad game, im probably just metamorphosing into a cynical boomer who's losing grip on the basic emotions which normally deliver joy, but playing this game made me feel soulless, hollow; i was not horrified at the game, i was horrified at myself - any game, everywhere, anything, is fun and better with friends - what makes this so special?

love it, run from it, dread it, it's only 10 dollars - you already own it, who cares?
