Timeless classic of my childhood. Liked this game as a young lad and played it a lot.
Nonetheless, wanted to point out that while releasing the game on Steam you could've implement some bugfixes, balance changes and updates to the game, specifically to the best part -- Solo Utlratus. 3rd boss Xanfar is broken, uses 10th level magic with no mana, attacks 3 times in a row while in a great distance, pretty much pain in the ass to deal with unless you grind for saint points to kill him quickly. I remember some problems were with the latter bosses as well. Facial animations on victory/lose screens do not work properly as well. It is still good, but could be better, since the game was made more than 10 years ago. Also equipment screen is sometimes not working perfectly, you have to get a weapon off character to get him another one, which is counterintuitive and could be easily done with just placing a piece of equip and replacing it automatically. Also some gladiators on the arena have weapons that doesn't suit their alignment. For some reason healing with good alignment makes enemy regain mana sometimes. For reasons unknown, playing bard doesn't make any sense -- taunt effects are 2 random and solo -- the damage ability doesn't grant you a boost to battle trance, making bards the least predictable heroes and making them lack power against bosses especially.
Tavern quests is extremely bugged. My char is called "undefined" for some reason, killed gladiators do not die often, mini-games are bugged. And this part was my fave as well.
With all that said, I still recommend the bundle, just for nostalgia, but maybe you will be able to show this gem to your kids or just kill some time playing the boardgame, which is really fun.

BUT HELL YEAH YOU SHOULD BUY IT AND TRY IT OUT

It's gonna be great for you even if you didn't play the first game, but if you are as I am, huge fan of the first one, you are going to be blown away with how good this game is getting. The SOUNDTRACK is AMAZING. Kept the theme and sound from the first part and added the depth and wideness to it. Overall it's pretty much what the second game does, adds depth: in music, in graphics, in gameplay.

It's hardcore. It's brutal. And it's very, very fun both in single and multiplayer (just multiply fun by how many players you have in your party) modes. This game already has so much I liked about the first part and it's not even done yet. Can't wait to see the true gem it will be when it's done.

The absolute masterpiece, mustplay, don't even hesitate.

Recently I hit the mark of 3000 hours in this game and even though I am still pretty moderately good (read: absolute trash) at it, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ masterpiece. I think it will never die or if it ever does, it must not be soon. It survived cheaters, bots, all sorts of problems and with love that it's community gives it it will prosper for years. I am gonna wait for the next update so I can say it's utter trash when it comes and remember it nostalgically few years afterwards. Highly recommended to play and master.

Overrun by chinese cheaters and cheaters in general. Can't play a single game without them.

The game is brilliant and beautiful, but too many bugs, way too many.

I am not a game journalist, you know, but I will do my best to review the game. Since I don't have a controller, I had to play on my keyboard and you know what? I got bored. This game is so easy, it's a childplay! Maybe controller users have problems playing because of that, but I had to refund the game because of how easy it was for me playing on keyboard. Music and plot and graphics of course are top notch masterpieces, but sadly the game is just too easy.

One of the best ducking games there are on steam, really.

I didn't laugh so hard since Unepic and Deponia.
This game is stunningly good and this is just a crime to sell it for a price that low. It deserves more.

You think just because it's black and white it's plain and simple? Oh, you are wrong! But don't spoil yourself with reading a Wiki on this game, it has much to offer those who are curious and are not afraid to make a mistake.

You can (and you probably end up doing that) play it more than once.

Humor is a treasure and this game is a shining jewel.

I can't think of a single con, to be honest, it's just THAT good. Buy it now.

This is a good game. I didn't like it, but it's good.

It's a historycal child of "Fighting is magic" game, which was a fanmade MLP (My Little Pony) themed project. Since fans had lots of problems with Hasbro owning the franchise, they decided to ask for Loren Faust's help and make their own fighting with lots of references and their own magic. If you play this game you see that they succeseeded in that task. There is actually much more than original game could give you.

Pros:
+ Amazing artstyle by Loren Faust herself
+ Great music
+ All of a sudden it's a freaking multiplayer thing! Amazing!
+ Animation and sound quality levels are high
+ Even though it's an realy access game it has almost everything you wanna see in fighting
+ Very user-friendly (because you gotta share, you gotta care) pixel lobby with lots of servers with actual non-toxic people on them and fun little things and clothes with descriptions

Cons:
- My personal problem was in controls: I can't play with joystick and keyboard controls are stiff and uneasy, even less easy is to adjust them, simply because there is no "Disable second player" option.
- Game has her ancestor's problem in menu - it's not easy to choose a color palette when there is no strict and straightforward explanation what options you have and you end up scrolling those colors forever. I am just being dumb here, this is really a super minor con that affects just me probably.
- As it is made by mane6 and it's a MLP-based (in the past) game, there are only 6 characters and I doubt there will be many more
- AI will kick your bottom. It's horryfying in it's OP-ness.

It's really good, yet unfinished and doesn't suit me, sadly. I had to refund this game. I will probably buy it when it comes out of Early Access state, but not now.
