I have enjoyed playing this game. As with any other games, this game also has its faults. I will begin with the negative first. The game does get tedious at times because you are basically at the end of the day, collecting deliveries and delivering them to locations. One of the biggest hurdle you will face early on is traversing through all locations and you can mitigate that by building roads. Roads, it is pain, so much painful to build the entirety of it, by the time I was nearly done I had to repair other roads overtime. While the idea of constructing infrastructure to connect isolated areas is interesting, the process feels repetitive and overly time-consuming, sometimes some of the Auto-Paver (points where you dump materials to build roads) are there just for the sake of it, I feel like they could have shortened the grind in this aspect.

The story of this game is excellent. This game is by Kojima. I would recommend to not look into any story at all. You will be confused, you will be astonished, you will say WTF and you will be clueless, however the story will build up bit by bit and will more or less make sense overall. The story is rich and unique. I have to hand it to the whole team for being able to take the idea of delivering items and creating a whole story and world around it. It is incredible, the visuals and the voice acting are all excellent. The pacing may not appeal to everyone, Death Stranding stands out for its ambition, striking visuals, and unconventional approach to interactive storytelling.

This game is fun in a lot of ways but also frustrating in some ways. The story does capture you out of nowhere if you go in blind but alas as you keep progressing it becomes adamantly clear there are flaws in the game. One of the biggest flaw is the gameplay feels repetitive, as many missions boil down to capturing territories and killing this so called small time leaders and either recruiting them or killing them, which does become tedious. You are no playing Hero in this game, the world of Mafia has never been about playing as good guy vs bad but rather deep story with overarching side characters including the main ones. With that being said, the game is fun overall but I do hope they change the gameplay style for their next upcoming game currently titled "Mafia: The Old Country"
