Its amazing to watch the progress from Penumbra, over Black Plague, Amnesia and Soma to this. Frictional Games have really honed their craft.
The horror aspects are amazing and rely on great atmosphere and worldbuilding instead of cheap jumpscares.
The story is also compelling and keeps you wanting to learn more about the world and characters. The inherent hook of rediscovering the transpired events along with the main protagonist are similar to the original Amnesia, but still work very well.

Now to the slightly less positive. The puzzle aspect of the game seems to have deteriorated a lot. They are usually very simplistic and obvious, or kind of unintuitive. Out of all the games in the "series", Penumbra and Black Plague remain with the most compelling puzzles.
What used to be Frictional Games largest engine advantage, the physics and puzzles based on those, are no longer a big part and it doesnt seem that the physics engine has been improved since Penumbra and has taken a complete back seat.
The overall engine is probably the largest downside of this game. The graphics quality has not improved much since TDD and specially textures are extremely low resolution for a game that came out in 2020. I also find unforgivable a locked maximum of 60 fps.

Story/atmosphere/horror: 10/10
Graphics/technical aspect: 4/10

Overall: 8.5/10

Another great hit from FROM Software. Unforgiving, but fair. More linear story and progression than Dark Souls and a bit more complex fighting system

I hate this game. Id rather spoon out my brain while dripping lemon into one eye and tabasco into the other than play this.

Yet I cant stop playing.
