Interesting story. Engaging combat and progression. Great graphics, especially if you've got the hardware to run it with ray tracing. All in all, really enjoying my time with the game. Then again, I'm a sucker for all things Remedy. Goes on sale regularly; do yourself a favor, and just go buy it and enjoy. Even 5 years on from release, this still holds up to today's standards. (This is coming from a AAA game developer.)

Early Access Review
I’ll admit this game didn’t seem to appeal to me before I purchased it. On a whim, I picked it up due to the Overwhelmingly Positive rating. Glad to say I was dead wrong. This game is crack for all the right reasons. Engaging gameplay loop, lots of hilarity. Just go buy it.

Note to Tyler: Please add the ability to split hands for Blackjack at the casino!

Short, brain bending puzzler, immaculately presented. If you can catch this on a sale, do so.

Much like the first game, Deliver Us the Moon, this game is dripping with atmosphere and has a gripping narrative. Some of the gameplay and puzzle elements are a welcome improvement from the first. The main things I noticed throughout my playthrough that were negatives were all art related. Strange texture bugs, z-fighting, lighting artifacts, and the grooms...the grooms behave very strangely and also don't show up in Ray Traced Reflections. Additionally, as others have said, HDR is very roughly implemented here; as such, I opted to have it off. I'd heavily recommend having those off. Hair having been improved and better facial character art and animations would have boosted my opinion of this game even more. Overall, like the first, I give this a solid 7.5/10 and recommend, especially if you can catch it on sale for under $10. Effectively both the first game and this are interactive movies with light environmental puzzling.

Short, satisfying, story-based puzzler. Basically an intriguing movie that you play the central character in. Reading all lore, watching all holograms, and listening to all the audio logs really helps to flesh out the story. Watching the credits has a story payoff that caps off the ending, so don't skip them. My only gripes were that movement sometimes felt a little too floaty (even for the story taking place on the moon)...though it didn't serve to pull me out of the game's atmosphere, which is dripping with style here. On the performance front, in 2024, things ran pretty well, though Ray Tracing, even with DLSS on caused even my 3080 to struggle. The technical implementation of graphics features seems pretty well done overall, but I'd recommend playing without Ray Tracing on unless you have a 40 series card or better. Overall, this game gets a solid 7.5/10 from me and is enough to make me look forward to playing Deliver Us Mars and Deliver Us Home (once the latter of the two release).

Wanted to leave a review to offset all the bad reviews. Game is perfectly playable. Phantoms that you see in game are just prior records of attempts. Whether they've now made those offline and just part of the game or if WIBY or DD has left a server up for those of us who still play on occasion...there is no (and never was) any true multiplayer aspect. Phantoms are there for you to see how others failed and to help you avoid the same mistakes. For what it's worth, in late 2024, the game is still enjoyable and plays just fine.

While the story aspect of the DLC was about an 8.5/10, the rest was on par with the base game. Some of the environments looked even better than the base game. The entire package on offer here is one of my top 10 games of all time, and is something I plan to periodically return to to enjoy.

Early Access Review
It took an hour and a half to grab me…but once it did, it clicked. It reminds me of Diablo mixed with Darksiders, Battlechasers, and Dark Souls. For EA, and with a decent video card, this is a pretty strong release. People that are complaining either don't understand how EA works and what it's meant for or they're playing on a PC with weak hardware. Pay attention to the recommended hardware; as long as you're near or above that requirement, your general performance should be generally fine. Given the pedigree of this studio, this is DEFINITELY a game worth supporting, and I trust them 100% to keep polishing the rough edges (expected in EA); it's already going very well it seems. Pro tip, if you play with HDR on, make sure you've calibrated your monitor to avoid areas of the game appearing too bright or too dark. All in all, for EA, this is sitting around an 8/10 from me with a strong recommend.

The recursion based puzzling gameplay on offer here is pretty interesting overall. I'd consider this mostly a walking simulator with a lightweight story that's mildly engaging, if a bit drab. Overall, I think at full asking price, there isn't enough gameplay to justify that price; if you can pick it up at 50% off, it's a decent deal if you're into this kind of game or puzzlers in general. I'd have like to see this game be closer to the 20 hour mark and have the story more fleshed out. They could have went much further with the recursion based mechanics here than they did during development, given the length of time development took. Overall a solid 6-7/10.
