Insanely cringe dialogue and story, like really bad as if it was written by a school kid.. maybe it kind of adds to the charm though? I dunno, but regardless the gameplay is amazing. Alot of fun and takes skill to ace levels, think CSGO surfing/movement maps on crack meets Doom plus original card based movement system. If that sounds interesting to you definitely give it a go, great game.

Fun game, can be rage inducing like any competitive game and there a few broken things but overall good game.

Addictive and very fun gameplay loop, interesting story and characters with alot to unlock to fully complete. Top roguelite game, a must play if you enjoy the genre and I wager even if you don't you'll have a great time with Hades.

Wasted potential is the best way to describe this game. All throughout you see glimpses of what could have been and the vision for a truly great experience was there, but something went very wrong in the development process to leave a disappointingly shallow shell in place of what should have been a masterpiece. Bear in mind this is a late review, I played through and completed the game shortly after initial release so they may have tweaked some things however from what I have read it's nothing major. For that reason I'm not going to include the many bugs I encountered as negative factors, as they should have been fixed but rather the way you never feel truly sucked into the world CD Projekt Red created. Interaction with NPCs is practically non existent, you can't explore the city and find dumb fun mini games to do, you can't get in police chases, I mean this is stuff that was done extremely well in GTA IV, a game that released 14 years ago! The character personalities are just awful, I get it's Cyberpunk everythings moody etc. but I'd like to feel connected or at least intrigued by the characters, I wasn't made to care about anyone with Panam and Johnny Silverhand being the only exceptions. Your best friend gets killed instantl, your months of bonding and going on jobs is fast forwarded in a crappy montage so you don't feel any impact whatsoever, I don't know who thought this was a good idea!

For all it's lacking, what really makes the game a major let down for me is the fact everything about the core gameplay feels so wooden and unpolished. There is no fluidity in combat, skilltrees are pointless as you can breeze through the game with broken weapons that shoot through walls, the driving is absolutely horrible and weightless and dialogue choices don't really change anything big until you get to the end. With all that being said, the story is fun to follow with Keanu Reeves carrying the entire narrative through his acting as Johnny Silverhand and they do paint the bleakness of cyberpunk dystopia depressingly well but that's pretty much the only thing about this game that was good. For all that was promised and the potential that was so clearly there for a bunch of talented devs, this game is a massive flop for me which is sad because I really wanted to enjoy it, I clocked nearly 100 hours just trying to experience everything the game had to offer which unfortunately isn't anything of depth and I cannot recommend it.

I call for slow entrying, clearing corners and stacking up with flashes, my friends W key with breaching tool and get blown up by traps 10/10 would recommend

Great artsy experience, however just be aware the game is very very short and not challenging at all. It's more of an experience than a regular game, if that's your thing I'd definitely recommend.
