Game is great. People review bombed because they didn't like Sony's requirement to link a PSN account, which they've backed down on. Ignore the haters, fight for LIBERTY.

This is probably the most gorgeous roguelike yet in terms of visual and audio design I've ever played, while also having a simple and intuitive control scheme. Each level is strongly themed. Not every robot you meet is hostile - most robots are just there to do their job, and there's no combat XP or currency system to encourage tedious gameplay - all loot has a use, and your robot's capabilities are entirely based on how you choose to equip yourself.

Your goal is not to kill all enemies, or steal a particular item - just to escape. Loading up your robot with guns and tank treads and fighting your way to the surface is perhaps the most obvious option (and an intensely satisfying one, with both the audio and visual feedback being top-notch), but loading up with light and fast parts and sneaking/running your way past encounters is a perfectly valid tactic as well - and you may find yourself switching back and forth depending on what parts you have available to you (and what parts you lose in the process!).
