Like Space Marines? Like 40K? Like gratuitous violence? Like exterminating xenos?
If you answered yes to all of the above, then you will like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. This game is an excellent straight forward 3rd person shooter. The formula is basic, but boy is it done well.

I originally played this game on PS4 in 2017 and then later, played the 2D version on Steam this year. To no surprise, this game continues with the classic JRPG formula, quirky sense of humor, and Akira Toriyama's distinct style that has been Dragon Quest's lifeblood since 1986. Having said that, there are plenty of nice quality of life updates, an interesting take on 3D battles if you choose to allow it, and the visuals in both the 3D and 2D version are nice and crisp. Plus, the additional content is a nice touch -- the super bosses are insane, especially with the Draconian Quest modifiers.

If you are a fan of the classic JRPG formula, but for some reason have never played a DQ game, I highly recommend it.

Dragon Quest XI is awesome.

Imagine working for Brinks. Now imagine it in post-apocalyptic setting where even food is a highly valuable item and you have to evade ghosts, terrorists, and armed survivalist groups who will try to steal your cargo. This is your life as Sam "Porter" Bridges in Death Stranding; a unique tale from Kojima about the collision of life, death, and limbo. While Kojima's writing can be a bit verbose at times, the story is interesting, the landscapes are beautiful (if a bit bare), and working with your fellow porters to build and maintain structures and roadways is a gratifying experience.

Death Stranding is awesome, and remember: Tomorrow Is In Your Hands.

Don't be fooled by the 2.1 hours I have on Steam. I played this game prior on another platform. Having said that, what can I say that's positive about this game?

The artwork for this game really is a diamond in the rough. The character models are finely detailed, the textures look good, and the setting feels dark, cold, and brooding. CI Games made good use of lighting, fog, and overall, the map design seems decent.

Everything else about this game is mediocre at best. The game play and story is derivative, your characters move slower than molasses, character animations are questionable, and the game likes to crash.

Don't play this game. If you're looking for a good souls experience, play the real thing. Play a Souls game or Sekiro.

Lords of the Fallen is terrible.

Wow, where to start with this one...

The story and characters are interesting, the world feels well built if a bit empty at times, and graphically the game looks pretty decent. I actually really like the cars. The problem is, game play is repetitive and boring. I really mean that when I say it is boring. This game was a real chore to finish and I was very underwhelmed by the ending. Mafia III definitely does not have the pizzazz nor does it have the inspiration of previous titles.

If you haven't ever played a Mafia game, I would recommend spending your time on the Mafia: Definitive Edition instead. Now, there's a great game.

Mafia III is a disappointment.

RAGE is boring, underwhelming, and short. It ends as abruptly as it starts and is very unrealised. It feels like there should be more to the game, but there just isn't. Overall, RAGE has not aged well. If I could describe RAGE with one word, it would be "insipid".

RAGE is meh.

This game is just as slick and fun as it was the day I bought it back in 2014. The combat is fluid, the music is excellent, and the graphics still hold up alright, even today. Platinum Games really outdid themselves with this Metal Gear Solid spin-off.

Did I mention the dialogue? Because, the dialogue is certainly amusing, self-aware, and cringe at times. Certainly put a smile on my face.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is awesome!
