I very much enjoy this game. It has some puzzle elements, loot-gathering, intense fights and unique characters.
The art style as well is just gorgeous.
I would mostly however like to clarify something mentioned in quite a few of the negative reviews-
There are a significant amount of reviews complaining that it's marked as "Singleplayer" in steam, when it's only online.
They're making the assumption that online = multiplayer. It's just how information and saves are stored, it seems.
You absolutely can play singleplayer. You don't need to play with anyone else, but you can with the exact same method of choosing a level.

It's like considering Warframe a "Singleplayer" game along with its multiplayer and co-op tags.
A bit of an odd description, but not false. You can absolutely play tons of the game by yourself with no interaction with anyone. Same goes for this one. Multiplayer works great, but it's not a requirement. Being online is.

Pay no heed to reviews saying it's "utterly randomized".

This is a game about mapping out your environment and process of elimination.
Having paper and a pencil on hand helps drastically, as this game can sometimes be quite challenging.

I certainly wish it were longer, but the brief entertainment I got from this game far surpasses the £1.99 price tag.

At this price, it's a steal, a little treat your your brain.

The "Endings" it offers are nothing more than how many ways you can fail, vs the one way you can win.
It's a cute little puzzle game, and I would absolutely LOVE if there were more to this, it's a shame it was so quick to go through, even when taking my time.

This game is one of a kind.
The graphics are simplistic yet beautiful,
the encounters are unexpected and challenging, but not impossible and frustrating.
I am constantly learning new things about this game as I play through, and every new mechanic I encounter just ends up making me love this game even more.

The only thing I don't like about this game is the fact that it's early access, and I'm nervous that at any point I might run out of content to play. I haven't yet, but that just goes to show how thrilling this game can be!

Wonderful game, really.
It's great fun to play, but unless you're bilingual, you NEED to have friends who can play with you.
All the public servers listed in "English" as far as I could tell were Filipino servers.
Whilst the players in those servers were capable of speaking english, they rarely did.

I joined on English servers, and not once did I join a game where English was used.

The minigames requires to complete tasks are incredibly simple, yet still takes enough thinking to cause a pause in activity sometimes. With the right lobby setup, that pause can be suspenseful as there's a looming threat.

Overall, it's an enjoyable game, but as someone who can only speak English, I could not find a game where I wasn't left out of every conversation. This is a huge problem, as conversation is a key part of this game.

Bots everwhere, as far as the eye can see (Not that you can see far, without losing connection)

Rust is an interesting game.
Take the Friendly/Tryhard divide from TF2, and increase it tenfold. In my experience, everyone playing rust falls into three categories - Or tries to.

You have The Roleplayers;
These people want to enjoy the game, building pleasant looking bases, pretty farms, etc. They typically play Rust because of its amazing graphics and peaceful ambiance.

You have The Tryhards;
These people want to be good at the game, building incredibly efficient bases, compact farms, etc. They typically play Rust because of its intense pvp and ability to raid other players.

Finally, you have the people who can't quite decide.
These people enjoy playing rust because it is a beautiful looking game, and also find a lot of enjoyment in succeeding. These people often go for more efficient build designs, but still throw in decorations here and there and have a bit more open space for comfort.

Personally, I fall under the latter as do most people playing Rust, from my own experiences.
It's a shame that singleplayer is such a pain to set up (You need to make your own server, basically.)
But once you found a server right for you, it's a wonderful game.
Don't seek out "noob friendly" servers though, I've often seen experienced players join those because everyone else is easy pickings.
Look for a friendlier server to begin with, learn the controls, mechanics, etc.
Then if you want to keep going to a bit more of an intense environment, look for more populated servers.
Personally, I suggest avoiding official servers for a while until you know what you're doing.
They're incredibly toxic communities, and you can't take five steps without pissing someone off.

This game is definitely an amazing fallback for those who miss Realm of the Mad God! It has beautiful graphics, amazing sound and music, and is a captivating game. The history and lore seems rich at a glance, I've yet to look into it myself.
The gameplay is fast paced, but it starts off reasonably so you can gather your bearings and understand how to progress.

There are a lot of reviews claiming the microtransactions are scummy. This isn't the case.
Yes, there is a lot of paid for content. Most of it, however, is cosmetic. Anything paid-for that affects gameplay directly either can be unlocked elsewhere, or is merely a "Quality of Life" improvement to make it easier, as opposed to being neccesary to progress.

I absolutely reccommend this game, as someone who was once a dedicated player of Realm of the Mad God. I'm honestly excited to see what happens next with this game. If it becomes pay to play, I'd totally buy it.

Update: I really couldn't help myself. I moved around a few funds that I had saved and splashed out £46.37 for the three packs. I do not regret it, despite barely being able to afford it.

A great remake, and it's honestly very generos of them to give players who already owned all the DLC a free copy of this!

I had good hopes for this game. I personally loved the first one, but this game is too fast to explain mechanics, not going into enough detail and ultimately rushing the entire thing. I also can't stand the tryhard pixel graphics here. In the last game, the graphics were crisp and well done, but in this one they just seem too... accurate to what they're trying to represent. It outdoes the rest of the game and brings standards that this kind of game cannot realistically achieve.
