A mix of assets randomly thrown, generic fetch quests, multiple crashes, even in menus, extreme clipping and invisible walls.
As for the visuals, even Oblivion without mods looks better than this. The only HD asset is the character, the rest are triangles.

Genshin meets Honkai, but less polished.

Overall okayish experience.
The story until now it's kinda average.... What happened to your brother/sister? You start the game with them, but then nobody speaks about them again. Things just happen suddenly for the plot to progress...

The UI could also use some improvement... there are overlapping labels when playing in full screen at 1080p, and in some instances(like on the character creator screen) you can barely see the UI since it blends in the background.

The hand-holding is annoying, especially when you don't want to do a thing, but the game blocks you from doing anything else.

Can't die on the first mob...game forced me to know this since I was unable to attack or use skills until I removed an re-equipped my weapon.

Played some more.. game hits you with "First Top Up". Literally a mobile game.

WARNING: Check ping before you play. Some regions are not fully supported and any use of VPN, or game boosters will prevent you from launching the game even if you paid for it. In the latest VPN block to combat the army of bots, they managed to block players that don't use VPN to connect to their servers even if the game is allowed in your country. After I contacted amazon support they told me to find a new ISP.

Gameplay:
If you like Diablo-like games you will probably like this one too.

The story is meh, but there are some good moments.
The gameplay kinda starts at level 50 as most of the things will unlock when you reach there.

I can't recommend this game right now since it has a massive bot problem. They teleport, spam the area chat with their services and whisper players. I reported hundreds of them, but for nothing.

Not Bad. Not Bad At All.

Started to play this game when it was in beta, around 2 years ago, but did not play more than a few rounds past the tutorial.

Now, since it's launch on steam, I downloaded it again and started to play.
My account was synched with the one from GOG, and got a title and a few thousand scraps(game currency).

Since then I reached prestige level 1, Phillipa avatar on competitive and around level 56 on journey.

The game currently has 7 factions (Neutral, Monsters, Nilfgaard, Northern Realms, Scoia'tael, Skellige, Syndicate), each with their custom made cards. Each of those cards are characters from the games and books, or custom made for the game, but lore friendly.
The cards look great, they have sound, voice acting and custom effects.

Along with the cards, you can pick a faction leader with a custom powerful ability that can be used on the cards.

You have 3 game modes (seasonal - kinda like Overwatch arcade, Competitive - where you play with other players and rank up and the Arena)

The arena mode is probably one of the funniest and fairest things, but I would not advise new players to get into it before knowing the cards and what they do. When you enter the arena you build a deck of cards randomly, by picking from 4 choices, until you have a full deck. The same thing with the leader ability. This allows players to have a chance and not play the current top meta.

Visually this game look great, you can customize your avatar, title, border, card, hero..etc
You unlock stuff by playing the game and achieving goals.
Each day you get a daily quest(you can repick if you don't like) that offers game currencies.

One of the nicest things is that after a game you have the option to GG your opponent, nothing else. If you GG enough times you unlock achievements and get stuff from it. It's a nice incentive for players to behave. Your faction leader, also has emotes that can be played during the game to 'communicate' with other players, as there are no other ways. (You shall perish, worm! )

As you progress though the seasons maps and characters you unlock bits of lore and other goodies.

The journey is like a battlepass with a free and paid mode. Both modes give you various kinds of rewards. This also unlocks a bigger story from the witcher universe.

Each month and year there is a different season with custom rewards and game modes.

The game, while it does not display sexual content, it has a large collection of severed heads, both human and not.
I think that if you like witcher lore or card games it will be worth your time, after all it's free.

But if you do decide to give this a try I would be honored to give you my referral link

Gothic is a special type of game and a remake needs to hold certain standards.

The bad:

General:
- huge log file
- too easy
- character talks to himself
- can't quick load or load a save unless you are in the game intro menu
- Hard barriers
- no lockpicking game
- lockpicking is not a skill
- you can loot Snaper claws without a skill
- combat system is boring not engaging
- unable to pickpocket
- characters teleport
- can climb only designates spaces
- time stops when you open a menu(like inventory)
- can't swim
- no signs of magic
- X will remember this message
- enemies don't alert you when you get in their territory
- enemy aggro zone

Music & Audio:
- sometimes the same character switches on the tonality and the effect of the voice. Like different recording sessions
- the combat music starts as soon as you pick up the sword, even alone
- not as good as Kai Rosenkranz
- Xardas does not sounds like Xardas, nor Diego

Story:
- Not quite Gothic like
- People are friendly and they want to crack a joke whenever you speak with them
- Found a guy killing a guy. Beat him to an inch of his life. Gave strange magical flower to save his life. Killed him. Took flower back. Went to another guy and told him that I spared the previous guy life. Dude was angry cause I let him live. Saved game. Died. Reloaded. The guy I killed was alive. He thanks me for saving his life. Wanted to kill him again. Life goes to 0 then back to 100. Did this several times. Put sword away. He stood there in combat mode wondering who hit him. Must have been the wind. ... (Some time later) ... . I come back. I see the two dudes arguing. One stabs the guy I killed. He dies this time. I can still speak with his ghost. I attack the dude that stabbed him. He runs away to his comfort zone. I run after him. He kills me with one strike of the sword. I died.
- After opening the gate I did not follow Diego. When I was killing the snapper on top, I heard Him talk. Reached the gate and I had no idea what those talked, then I was asked to chose an option.

Visuals:
- too bright
- UI is made for console
- you need to hold WASD buttons to see what you really want to say to someone
- inventory UI is bad
- the character from the inventory is a recording in a video file(no armor customization?)
- too many cutscenes
- Character health in the middle of the screen
- lens flare on torch
- not a real day/night cycle(you are frozen in time until you can proceed in the story)
- the cloth on the back has horrible physics
- sometimes textures on the characters look like they have lots of noise and they are moving, especially in cutscenes
- the aura of the killed enemies remains visible through walls even after a reload
- Item location icon too big and unnecessary

Bugs:
- tutorials reaper
- if you equip the HP amulet, then reopen the inventory it will still show you that you can increase your life

The good:
- baiting monsters with meat

I want Gothic to succeed, but for now, this is not the way.

Will Update this as I keep playing
