I wanted to like this game so bad. I have been waiting since the first one for them to make a second. The first one was genre breaking and had so many original thoughts and mechanics, but here we go with a horrific copy and past of the first. Beyond the glitches and janky climbing controls, the story and the way its told is absolute garbage. It does not make you invested in any of the characters or what is going on in the game world. Moving to the controls, the "lock on" thats in the game that has to be used does not work. I noticed it the most with the grapple pull thief ability, sometimes it feels impossible for it to hook the target and the grab button half the time does not work. With the climbing portion, any thing that has a slope has a 50/50 chance of you sliding down or grabbing to hop up. The climbing for enemies is just as bad, sometimes holding up will go up and other times it will make you sidestep on the enemy. It just feels cheap and janky all around.

I keep seeing everyone around mad about the micro transactions and I don't have an issue with these type, specially in a single player game that you can farm the items yourself.

It might just be that I hyped the game up so much since I loved the first, but to me it seems like a rushed cash grab that has no soul

This game was so good, it did ruin the standards and expectations of other games

Loved Payday 2 and was really excited about the release of the 3rd. Most of the other reviews are correct about all the issues. One comment that I have not seen, is with appearance. When you have 3 or 4 preferred characters, there is no way to set up outfits individually, and trying to even change aspects of your load-out in the lobby, does not even work most the time. The crimenet removal, the progression from only challenges, no melee weapons/melee is a joke, as well as the unlimited pagers on very high to over kill difficulty and a few others all seem like a punch to the crotch.

Unless they fix all these the game is almost not worth looking at

I desperately want to enjoy this game, but I have one issue so far that is making it really hard. I do not use the WASD movement format and this game does not support those keys to be changed.
In 2021 all game should have the functionality to change every control or keybind to what they see fit. Other than that I have not played the game enough to make any other comments.

To add something else, my pre-order bonus was never given either.

Until they add that simple feature I can not recommend. Which is a sad thing to say lol.

I miss the way the controls were in the first two, but after a while I got used to them and it turned out to be a great game.

Decent game with some bugs. Would still recommend
