Exactly like playing real-life pool, without the bar.

The best 4x space game.

Has mixed reviews because:
1. It's got a big learning curve.
2. The game lets you automate elements of the game, and people often over-automate, which is boring.

Once you figure out how to dump almost all of the automation, and you can handle nearly everything manually most of the time, you'll discover the best space empire simulation on Steam.

I don't see what all the hype is about. The pacing is very slow, very little happens, occasionally you build one building. The premise is a bit silly, if you were living in a cold crater you wouldn't just put a heater out in the open and vent all your heat into the atmosphere, you'd build a facility with a roof and heat that. Everything about it is just... dull! I don't understand why it is so highly-rated. I've played for 5 hours, and I'm just bored.

Never played a game like this one. This game really forces you to think like a detective. I solved my first case yesterday after playing non-stop all day, and it was incredibly satisfying. Definitely worth the $18!

10/10 but don't play it on Steam; pin a tab in your browser for it. It'll ping you when you have a notification.
Worth a subscription but is good free too. Sub gives some extra markets and conveniences, which are nice.
Just go to their website and give it a try for free. For a certain type of gamer, this is your new obsession.

But honestly... Don't play it on Steam. It is exactly identical except that you can't shrink your font size in Steam with CTRL+scroll. So whereas in my browser I have dozens of pages of well-organized data, in Steam I have a bunch of windows with just the top left of the data and a bunch of annoying vertical and horizontal scroll bars. Just... don't.

Valheim is the RPG that introverts have been waiting for. No dialogue, no quests. And it's perfect.

Turns out, all these years of listening to villager's problems and doing menial tasks was unnecessary. Valheim proves that we shouldn't have to read/hear paragraph after paragraph of blah blah blah to be motivated to accomplish things. Despite no dialogue and no quests, there are always lots of objectives to complete. They are MY objectives, not some bullet list of BS that I couldn't care less about that I'm doing for an NPC. After decades of Elder Scrolls, it is such a relief to just be able to be my own champion, instead of a champion for yet another town full of people standing around waiting for you to rescue them.

10/10 the best RPG.

Just what I wanted out of a football game. Reminds me of Madden '97 on my Sega Genesis. I didn't expect to care about Franchise Mode at all but once I tried it I really enjoyed it.

A great early-morning game. Runs great with only the mouse so you can have coffee in your left hand. Vibe is very mellow. Requires enough thought to make strategy important but is simple enough that you can be half awake and still do well. Highly recommended for people that have some time in the morning to relax before starting the day.

Hacking is pretty lame actually. I disabled this expansion pack. The game is better without this feature.

It's Asteroids (the classic arcade game) but also kind of a deck-builder. You continually collect power-ups that transform your ship in dramatic ways. Looks fantastic and has an excellent soundtrack. Every round plays differently thanks to procedurally-generated waves. Amazing replay ability especially for a game based on Asteroids.

If you have even the slightest interest in Asteroids and have a gamepad (mandatory), then this is a must-buy.
