I can confirm that all 3 gamemodes of this game work on Linux, in Proton.

Two Call of Duty games are the only ones to be playing on Linux, Infinite Warfare, and WWII- anything prior to Infinite Warfare is subject to the hackening and you'll get your PC hacked and infected by playing them online, anything AFTER WWII has a Linux incompatible anti-cheat and you can't even launch them (first affected game broken by this is MW2019). Requires the following launch options to render any graphics on Linux, in Proton, for me: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%

If you want to use Silent's ASI Loader, for mods like GInput to get your controller working, or for anything else really, the launch options is this:
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="vorbisFile,vorbisHooked=n,b" %command%

Linux build doesn't work for me. Proton didn't work without tweaking, either. To make the game work, it requires the following launch option in the properties to be able to start on Linux, using Proton, for me: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%

Then it seems to work great.

This game has an awful hitching stuttering lag problem that I can't manage to resolve no matter what I do, I still played the whole game regardless because otherwise it was great, though the performance totally kills my desire for any future replays. I don't recommend getting this on PC.

Glyphs make reference to the controller on my desk that I'm not even using, while I am only playing on keyboard and mouse, as such I can't really be bothered to learn to play. I'm not going to put the large effort of reaching over to unplug my controller every time I want to play this game, specifically.

Vibrates the controller on my desk that I'm not even using (scared me, my poor heart).
Game needs an art do-over, at the very least. Unless the style is intentional, like how Undertale uses art that looks purposefully like that.
Regardless, due to aforementioned controller issue while playing on keyboard, not for me.

This is the only Battlefield game that fully worked for me on Linux, yay, glad I found one. Recommended on 21st/July/2024. Let's hope they don't ruin that fact with updates, later.

The game has controller support issues for me, where it seems to double-input sometimes, making me use items unintentionally, etc. Couldn't get started playing due to that, really.
