Okay, here's a list of why it is not a good thing to buy right now:
Currently, it has quite a few bugs and polish issues that make for a sometimes frustrating gameplay feel.
It does not have tight controls or camera work, making navigating a constant battle against the game. Dealing with flying enemies can be a chore, given how it controls when jumping/flying.
Freezes are fairly common, and the UI can be a bit jank in the menu. Also speaking of the UI, there is no minimap.
Travel points are few and far between (One per realm, usually somewhere in the middle of it) leading to a lot of back tracking on the hunt for parts. Assuming you're a completionist like me. But even then, there's not a great way of telling what you don't have, so it becomes a bit of a guessing game there.
It lacks any kind of sorting or search function for your parts, and afaict there's no combination synergies or really anything special to the parts. You can only have two moves, even if you take multiple parts that have attacks assigned to them.
The aesthetics are basic but colorful and enjoyable. and it reminds me a bit of Maplestory back in the old iteration of it.
Overall though, it wasn't what I had hoped for, which was a good platformer with a lot of creature customization for movement changes.
It's a kinda almost good platformer, with a few creature options, and a lot of arbitrary level design.

Okay, you know something? I disliked this product enough that when I see reviews like the following ones, I came back to edit this just to say "No, these are misleading, don't play this game."

Other reviews and what I have to say about them:
"This is a fun little game. I love the evolution mechanic. You get new parts and you can mix and match. It's really fun to see your little guy evolve and become stronger. There's bosses and hidden paths. There's a level of polish to the game that I was surprised to see for a indie. Good game."
This person had .5 hours on record, and clearly didn't play the damn thing. Polish? What polish? And what a generic little review! 'There's bosses and hidden paths'. That is maybe the weakest thing I have read said about a video game in all of my life, and I have read reviews for CoD games that have included 'It has many guns'.

I'm sorry, innovation? Where? How? It's 2D Spore as a platformer. This is not innovative. There are no new mechanics, nor creatively implemented mechanics.

It's just murder chess with a company management sim, and pretty funny writing.
