Takes a while to fully grasp. The management of your base is a lot more important than it seemed to me at the start of the game. You are also asked to make a decision where to put your base and other stuff right from the start. You don't quite know what's most important to get unless you've watched some start-up videos on youtube before hand. So, all in all, a steep learning curve.

With that having been said, I have completed the game now and the experience was very rewarding making this one of the best games I have played in years. You start caring for a squad that's you can fully customise. The development of technology isn't super predictable and the enemies were surprising and varied enough to stay interesting. A lot of thought has to go into your positioning and a lot of prediction thinking goes into it making it challenging as well as rewarding if you manage to beat it.
