I really don't understand why this game gets so much hate. I really don't.
I'll give my review for zombies and multiplayer as I haven't completed the campaign yet.

Zombies:
This is where the game really shines for me. I have over 25 days played on Black Ops 3 zombies thanks to the season pass maps and chronicles. So I'm quite a big zombies fan. I'm not gonna review the DLC maps, because it would take far too long for me to do so. All you need to know about them is that, IN MY OPINION, some of the maps are better than Treyarch maps. Especially Spaceland, Rave and Attack.

Infinity Ward had some really good improvements over Treyarch zombies. Every single trap is unique in it's own way, all DLC-weapons were added to weapon loadouts and to every zombies map, none of the Fate and Fortune cards were OP as hell, the ranking system doesn't have prestiges but it has 999 levels, and the weapon variants from multiplayer keep the zombies-experience fresh and interesting.
I also like how they changed a few game-mechanics inside of zombies. You don't really get stuck on zombies anymore, as you can just kinda squeeze through them, but the zombies hit faster and are overall just more aggressive. I also prefer the new double PaP mechanic over Treyarch's Alternate Ammo Types. In IW, the double PaP just makes the weapon a bit powerful and gives it more ammo, so it isn't stupidly broken like AAT was in Black Ops 3.
Then the characters. I have an unpopular opinion on this matter, as I actually like these characters and the way they were handled. The characters have a different personality in each map, which I really enjoy. For example, Poindexter is a nerd in Spaceland, but in Shaolin, Poindexter pretty much screams "♥♥♥♥ you!" What I don't like about them, is the lack of real character development behind them. But I really don't mind that, as the characters are entertaining to play as.
The soundtrack in zombies is, in my opinion, the biggest improvement from Treyarch zombies. Every map has a unique setlist fitting the theme of the map, and most of the songs are fantastic. It also gives you something to listen to while playing.

Zombies in Spaceland
Zombies in Spaceland is a fantastic on-disk map. It has so much replay-value it's unbelievable. You have all kinds of side quests that you can do, but they aren't mandatory to get to a high round or just do well in general. I went to round 30 on my very first playthrough without even knowing about the Weapons of Rock (granted I'm a pretty good zombies-player)

I think the boss zombie (Brute) is one of my favourite bosses of all time in zombies. The fact that he has a ranged attack first and after you harm him enough, he starts to run at you is amazing. I don't think he's to difficult, nor do I think he's too easy.

And the Clowns. Oh, the Clowns... I think they are a great substitute to the standard dogs we've had for the last 9 years. And I LOVE how they can almost all spawn at once. Dog rounds were always kind of on the boring side. Clown rounds after round 25 or so are hilarious if you don't shoot them as soon as they spawn. Especially with 3-4 players.

The soundtrack in this map is my favourite out of all the maps in IW zombies. The map is set in the 80s, so the setlist consists of hits from the 80s. My personal favourites are Europe's The Final Countdown, and I Wanna Rock by Twisted Sister. You can listen to all the songs featured in Spaceland on Spotify or Youtube.

The zombies mode in this game is my absolute favourite, and I recommend everyone to give it a good chance. If you don't like CoD Multiplayer get the game for the zombies. I mean, why not? You can get the game for like 10€.

Multiplayer:
As much as I hated Black Ops 3's multiplayer, I really like this one. Everyone's heard of other people saying that IW is just a Black Ops 3.5. Well, they aren't wrong. Although the game plays like Black Ops 3, I feel like IW did everything better. The combat rigs are a balanced version of the specialist system, high caliber + flinch isn't a problem, and the maps are better.

The Weapons:
This is something I complain about every single time I play this game. The weapon balance in this game is questionable. What's that? You thought the Brecci was OP/annoying? The Brecci was underpowered compared to the Reaver. I mean, a semi-auto shotgun that can kill in one shot? What the ♥♥♥♥ Infinity Ward?
And don't even get me started on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ M.2187... "Let's add the pre-patch models from MW2!" Brilliant idea...

On the good side, every gun in this game seems to be usable. There isn't a single gun that is just absolutely useless, which is a really good thing for people like me who like variety. And I really like the way they handled the DLC weapons in this game. You can earn each weapon with a specific challenge, or you can just buy the season pass and get all the weapons immediately.

The Supply Drops/The Quartermaster:

I don't really mind the variant system in this game, as you can get almost all the variants through salvage. Most of the variants are really well balanced, with a few exceptions, of course. But since everyone has the Reaver unlocked at level 1, It doesn't even matter that a variant is a little better than the base weapon...
A really good thing I like about the supply drop system is that you can use the keys you earned from zombies in multiplayer, and vice versa. I already have most of the variants I wanted so I only open crates for zombies to get more fortune cards. I love the fact that I'm able to use my keys from multiplayer for the crates in zombies.

The Maps:
The maps in IW are really good in my opinion. Gameplay is fast and smooth, and the maps have just the right amount of flanking routes. Campers are usually easy to kill with the Rigs like the FTL jump or the Active Camo, and the maps offer enough ways to flank the campers.

The Multiplayer in IW can be extremely frustrating at times due to the weapon balance, but it's mostly a lot of fun. The movement system is fluid and cannot be abused like in Black Ops 3 due to being more limited.

TL;DR
Zombies mode is fantastic and has a lot of replayability.
Multiplayer is a polished version of Black Ops 3, with a questionable weapon balance.
