Quite nice game. Some of the puzzles had me stumped simply because I had no idea what to do ... or failed to read the instruction (and thus pressing the wrong key and being confused why the maze wasn't solved).
Combination Vault was the only one I really had no idea about, and I, to my shame, needed a guide to tell me what the maze actually wanted from me. I was so close to bruteforcing it, and ... well. :D

This game has potential. In theory. Immortal Empires is a huge campaign, offering a lot of factions and can be quite fun.
So, then, why the negative review? Its simple, really. They promised support. They promised regular bugfixes. And they aren't delivering.
The game is poorly maintained. Despite their promises, patches are still tied to DLCs, and have the tendency to introduce as many bugs as they are fixing. If you have to download mods to fix bugs that haven't been adressed for months ... well, its really not ideal.

And obviously, another part is the worrying trend of the new DLCs to have an increased price for, kind of, less content. It strikes me as if CA wants to gourge on the franchise and fans, draining them for as much profit, and then abondon them. Because thats the most logical conclusion from watching their actions.

As such, I would advice against spending your money on it :( Wait and see if they manage to get it under control again, or tey follow onto EA/Ubisoft/Blizzard/... footprints as they currently seem to do.

EDIT: CA has started to put in more effort. Time will tell if I will be able to change the review to positive in the future.

EDIT2: So far, it seems like CA has made good on their promise. While I am not sure how long this will keep as such, though
