It's alright.

Ever wondered "what if Victorian Era but magic and fae?" well wonder no longer!

This is honestly Game of the Year material here. 11/10. Flawless gameplay. Can't wait for the upcoming sequel!

Disclaimer, I haven't completed the entire story, but have completed the first half of the map in it's entirety going through one of two story paths given at that point, with about a third of my time being spent in multiplayer.

Do I think this game is fun? Yes, it's been a very good distraction from my life going to ♥♥♥♥ in nearly every way. The characters are almost entirely unlikable (especially Carl), and there isn't as impact regarding your choices throughout the game as people were led to believe, but the game has really good storytelling overall, and the gameplay is engaging at least for as long as my hours show.

Do I think this game is buggy as hell? Yes, I got soft-locked at a boss fight and spent several minutes trying to off myself with fall damage (with skills to reduce fall damage, might I add) because the boss vanished into thin air after the cutscene where they were a-posing the entire time. Characters will sometimes be completely invisible in cutscenes as well, while other times the cutscene just wouldn't happen. And don't even get me started with the multiplayer bugs. Most are of the entertaining or exploitable variety, but there is a lot of them.

Do I think this game is worth $60 in it's current state? No. Simply far too many bugs and seemingly far too little being done to fix them at the moment. Additionally, while the mechanics are generally good fun, there are many times the parkour becomes incredibly frustrating, such as when you apparently miss a ledge by a pixel, meanwhile visually the parkour can be comical, for example Aiden quite simply defies physics and levitates upwards for a couple seconds on a few windmills and missions if it otherwise looked like you weren't going to make the jump. I would recommend waiting for either the devs to care more about fixing game-breaking bugs, or for a large sale whenever that happens.

Minus some server hiccups, this game has been a really enjoyable experience so far. There is very little necessary back-tracking, and the game hasn't felt annoyingly grindy, which is difficult to do for a mmorpg.

A word of advice: Be wary of area chat, unless you are horny. It has been 4 days and I've already seen enough ERP to question if chat is just an extension of Wattpad at this point.

Unironically the most disappointing game I've ever had the misfortune of touching.
