This remaster of the classic 2003's SBBFBB is by far one of the best remasters to date. THQ took the game and did exactly what any fan of the original 2003 title would want: Kept the game's integrity that made it popular and cleaned the visuals to be kept up to today's standards.

The major difference that was added was a fun coop wave based mode which isn't used as a major selling point, but a "cherry on top" mechanic.

The Pros:
- The game is exactly as you remember, with an update to lighting and visuals

- The repeatableness of the game is still there

- Characters have better facial expressions and more of them

The Cons: (if you played the 2003 classic)
- Spongebob's combat abilities seem slower (I remember his spin being a lot more spammy)

- The cruise bubble is a bit more difficult to maneuver, enough to be noticeable

- Shiny objects take longer to "reach" you (This is only significant if you were aware that there were certain "farming" locations where a player could slide and "farm" shiny objects, die, and be revived at a checkpoint and the game would do it all for you since its all during a sliding animation. Now the shiny objects travel slow enough that if you die, you won't receive said shiny objects)

- Changes for the "in the air" combat animations such as Sandy's lasso seem a little clunky (useful addition though)

Overall, the game is exactly what you would expect: a beautiful adaption that pays homage to its 2003 predecessor. Every little con that may be brought up will simply be a "quality of life" element that shouldn't impact much of the gameplay.

Most importantly, if you enjoyed the 2003 classic, you will enjoy Rehydrated. If you did not play the 2003 title initially but enjoyed watching Spongebob, pick this game up anyway. It is well worth the $30.
