This is a very focused and honestly quite relaxing RPG experience. It doesn't have grand ambitions, but what it sets out to do it accomplishes beautifully with great combat, rewarding exploration and quests with plenty of decisions and interesting narratives. If you have any love for the world of Eora this is an easy recommendation.

Early Access Review
Awesome Vampire Survivors-like. I would recommend starting with Vampire Survivors, but this is a great follow up if you still feel the itch.

This game should have been so good and instead it failed spectacularly. Honestly for all the complaints people have about the graphics, I think the worst part is just the core game itself. The pathfinding is horrendous, the balance is astoundingly bad, notifications are so difficult to notice and the audio is so muddled that you regularly lose troops with little to no warning.
On top of that there's very little map variety and core features of the game are still not there for something that is supposed to be a 60 euro game. You clearly have the concept of avatars in the game, yet you cannot equip them, there is an unfinished replay mode, there is no ranked, there is no in game leaderboards and there are small bugs everywhere. The game is simply unfinished.
Add on top that the italian campaign is so bad it resembles an early-state early access indie product and you have a really hard sell at 60 euros.
There is potential here. The core game can be fun and many of the mechanics of the game do work to some extend; but it is still way off being worth your 60 euros.

Yes in this game you kill Chaos. A beautiful remaster; it runs well and the music is phenomenal. The font and sprites leave something to be desired, but there are loads of mods available if you want to enhance the game further. As far as the actual gameplay goes, this is an awesome little experience. There is not much story, and what is there is mostly nonsense, but the gameplay is the classic turn based Final Fantasy from the early days, with some small tweaks, and for the most part its awesome. There is a pretty nasty difficulty spike a the very end, but most of the game is wholly enjoyable and to be honest not that challenging. I would say this is an easy play if you have some time on your hands and want to see the origin of many of the modern elements of Final Fantasy.

Classic and memorable JRPG. This remaster is in a great place and the gameplay holds up very well with a great art style, awesome characters and a story that has less tropey JRPG stuff than you might expect!

Beat the game including all optional missions and post-game stuff at the end. The game is kind of like an Arthurian cross between Darkest Dungeon and tactics games like Fire Emblem or XCOM. It is honestly very good and exactly what I wanted, but it does have some problems.
The story is fine, I really like the characters and how they might be the same class, but still have different skills. Enemy variety is good, there's lots of content and the core gameplay is very fun. There's also tons of voice acting for almost everything, although some performances are better than others.
I really like Arthurian lore and this game is full of references to events and characters you might know from the original lore, which was a great thing to see. You definitely do get the sense that the devs did their homework.
Now my two major gripes, which I hope they will solve in time, is the meta game being almost completely irrelevant and the balance being more and more off the further you get in the game.
The meta game involves you upgrading Camelot in various Darkest Dungeon-esque fashion, but unfortunately the upgrades are fairly uninteresting and make such a small difference I often waited many missions between even interacting with the base. I hope they can add some more impact here.
Now the balance... It is very good in the beginning, but the further you get in the game the worse it gets. Especially the modifier enemies can have "Daemonic Posession" is horrendously poorly tuned, making the missions featuring it by far the most difficult in the game. Trust me when I say it's a completely outragous difficulty spike. Add to that the fact that I was easily able to do all the post game content in very little time 5-7 levels under the recommended level and you see the game is just super weird at the end. Some missions against ordinary humans that seem like they should be easy become insanely difficult, while fighting godly beings is a walk in the park.
Overall though, it's a very fun game and I do recommend it, especially with the upcoming free content!

Some JRPG fans might skim over this thinking it's just some MMO, but make no mistake this game has one of the greatest stories in Final Fantasy. You either stop playing early or play long enough to see yourself become a living ad for this game.
