Simply fantastic. One of the only games that has me hooked every step of the way. Every character is strong even the minor quests. The game understands where it should pull its punches in the story and narritive. The music is for me the greatest and most memorable since Jeremy Soule's Skyrim OST. Coupled with the best story DLCs i've every played, its a game that i would pay full price for again and again.
Sadly this was Irrational Games' last project before rebranding into a smaller studio, Ghost Story Games. However they went out with a bang creating a fun and stunning shooter with my favourite female characters of all time Elizabeth. She encapsulates everything that makes a female character good. She's beautiful, she's complex and she isn't a Mary Sue. She's starts off as a person that doesn't like violence but learns to understand why Booker does what he does even though she disagrees with his methods. The game showcases themes like Jim Crow laws and American Patriotism, but doesn't shy away from expressing them.
Skyrim, Skyrim Skyrim. The game is still has its issue with bugs and comedic jankyness. But man is it just a fanatastic game to just play. I've only played a bit of Morrowind and Oblivion but Skyrim is way up my alley. Especially with the community supporting it with over 1.5 billion mods downloaded. Jeremy Soule's work on the soundtrack is nothing short of legendary. Every track is memorable fitting in every moment like a jigsaw puzzle piece. Endless repeatability, this was in the era of BGS' peak form.
I love this game, I hate game. I remember watching the ESL Cologne 2016 finals which got me into this game. CSGO/2 is nothing but a legendary game in FPS, Esports and gaming history with its root back to 1.6 and its countless clones out there. It is without a doubt that this game is a quintessential test of skill, reaction time and knowledge.
