Been playing Counter-Strike since 2000 . For some of us it has a lot of memories and childhood nostalgia. To keep it short yes, I would recommend to see what all the fuss is about if you haven't already.

Being the face of competitive gaming, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive offers a very high skill ceiling and gameplay that only needs two things: teamwork and skill.

Teamwork is needed all the time. It's always awesome when professional players do intelligent strategies to outsmart the enemy team.

Get a PRIME account (reach lvl 21) ASAP and only play with it enabled when possible. The increase in game quality is noticable. Now players who have prime accounts will play against each others and are separated from non-prime players. That means there is smaller chance to play with or against cheaters in matchmaking. Now its free to play for those who want to try out the game in non-prime version.

It's fun, awesome, interesting game, that you can play with your friends all day, has skins, community servers (64 & 128 ticks), ranks, 5vs5, 2vs2 style. Now it has "Danger Zone" the new battle royale mode that will improve over time !

All in all, if you ask yourself whether you should buy and play this game, i think you should first try it and then decide whether to buy the prime status for full experience or not, but i belive even though it is 5 years since it was first released, you will be blown away by it !!!
