Man. Where do I begin?

If you liked DL1, There's no doubt you will enjoy DL2.

Pros and what I like about Dying Light 2 so far:

In the world of DL2 the virus has changed. Unlike Dying Light 1, the night time game play is actually rewarding now and I feel the effects of NOT going out at night time. It actually, in a way, holds you back. I absolutely love this. The parkour feels so much more like parkour, and with a lot of the parkour abilities locked behind the leveling system I feel that it's a perfect continuation of an amazing game series. It feels so good to say Dying Light series now, because DL1 is still an amazing game.

So far I have 13 hours of gameplay. I'm not sure where I am at story wise, but I feel like I've just scratched the surface. There is so much to do in the world of Dying Light 2. From fun little raids to attempting to search these loot areas during the day instead of the night (Definitely recommend going in at night.), to sight seeing.

Weapon rarity is super cool, and I love that weapons break now. Weapon mods are significantly better than Dying Light 2 - both in what the mods actually do to add new "skills", to leveling up the "mods". This is a feature that definitely shows where the developers have improved the game.

Cons:

We play a game where choices matter, and the fact that side quest 'quest items' are bundled in with "valuables" and can be sold is absolutely appalling. I think quest items should have their own inventory spot to avoid accidentally selling them. I accidentally sold a side-quest specific item and later when I went to go complete the quest I had to take the "bad option" because I unknowingly sold it and do not know what vendor I sold it too. I was really heart broken by this.

There are some parkour abilities that make you pretty much super-hero superhuman like and I absolutely hate it. The tune at which you get the jump boost when jumping off a zombie is as if you jump off of a trampoline in real life. Also, a double jump ability???? I just wish there was a way to remove the skill points or to reset our skill tree because now I'm running around jumping between continents.

Also, I'm sure if some of you have looked into it already - You can jump off the highest of high buildings and if you land on a car or hold E to hit a zombie, you won't take any damage. It's wildly unrealistic and, although avoidable if you choose to not use it, I feel like it just doesn't fit the world of DL2.

Overall; Dying Light 2 is significantly better than Dying Light 1. There will be many years of developer support for DL2 and I have no doubt that they will continue to improve it! Get it! Full price or on sale, it doesn't matter. Game is worth every penny!
