Typical FromSoftware. Give you an extremely low FoV, refuse to let you adjust it, then call it a challenge.

It's irritating. The largest challenge in this game is fighting the low FoV. Swinging your camera around nauseasly, constantly, because the other ACs hop up and down constantly. It's just not fun. I guess most other people playing this have a stronger stomach, than me, 'cause I'm not seeing it. This is intolerable.

I've played for about two and a half hours so far, and gotten most of the endings, so at $9.99, it's kinda expensive.

Personally, I think the story is fun enough that it's worth it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed that there isn't more.

37 minutes in and not a single race yet. Slowest racing game ever.

Game's fun, but it's clearly unfinished, that's particularly obvious when you get to the end.

Without getting into any spoilers, I will say that they reuse entire endings for very different game states, other possible endings that don't exists are referenced, foreshadowing in the main story almost never comes to anything.

One ending, just one, actually feels complete, the rest feel like they were tacked on at the last minute, because they ran out of time.

Wait for the Definitive edition; I really hope they finish the cut content, and add it back in. A lot of the story, and a lot of the setup makes no sense whatsoever right now.

It's Borderlands 2 in VR, without multiplayer. If you were fine playing Borderlands 2, and don't mind the idea of an easier version (bullet time), without the ability to play with friends, then you might like it. I played through the first area, with the Index update, and I have no complaints other than the fact that without multiplayer the game doesn't keep my interest, and that the dev excuse of giving us bullet time instead of multiplayer, also means that the game is overall easier (too easy) due to the presence of bullet time, and the lack of ability to scale up the enemies with the number of players.

Is it fair to give Fallout 4 a bad review, because Valve dropped the ball on Index bindings? Yes. Yes it is.

Even if it wasn't fair, I spent hours getting a halfway playable (not in menus, that's impossible) controller mapping only to find that my 2080ti and 9900k aren't enough for this game, so even if Valve hadn't dropped the ball on their new controls, Bethesda failed so hard on optimization that the game'd be unplayable anyway.

Skyrim VR is pretty awesome, but after 500 hours playing that, I thought I'd try out some Fallout; nope, nope, nope.

That said; if you have a Vive, Vive Pro, or a Rift, and don't mind down sampling the game, then it might be worth it if it goes on sale. I have about three and a half hours playing this last week where I tried to get some playable Index mappings, and 30 hours overall where I played it down sampled on the Rift.

If you enjoy being frustrated, then this game is for you!

A dozen or so hours of playing ago, I was knocked unconscious and sent to jail; I snuck out of the mine, found my gear, and massacred the local guard population.

A dozen or so minutes ago, I made my way through the mountain pass to activate my mana, after taking the fast exit out of the mountain, I wound up near the prison. I got my ass handed to be a by a newly respawned guard, and was sent back to the mines.

Wise to my games, the guards no longer let me sneak out to get my gear, so the only option available to me was to fight my way through; in my scivvies with a pickaxe, the guards made short work of me.

Rather than deal with more of my crap, the guards dumped my unconscious body outside, WITHOUT MY GEAR OR BAG.

The reason that's an issue, is that the guy with the KEY does not respawn (I killed him during my first prison sentence), and the KEY I had is now back in the mines in my bag,,,

My 2k silver, my pistols, my sword and shield, my master trader armor, and my black witch hat, as well as all my other miscellaneous tools and knicknacks are lost to me forever.

I quit...

That's dozens (1.25 dozens) of hours of playtime thrown down the drain, because of a really stupid design choice/oversight.

The only option I see, is to keep dying and hope I get sent back into the mines, and hope extra hard that my gear is still there.

After dying another dozen times, and respawning all over the map, I'm done trying.

Awesome game if you like tedium.

If you want to play on easy or normal, then you're golden; get the game, it's a lot of fun.

If you want any kind of challenge whatsoever, then prepare yourself for hours of grinding at every single level up, or tremendous amounts of micro transactions. On nightmare, you need leveled up gear if you want the harder fights to be reasonably challenging rather than litterally impossible, and leveling your gear costs a lot of money and lot of resources, which are very very tedius to farm.

Keep in mind that the micro transactions aren't too bad for gear, but they're absurd for resources; it costs exactly 20 bucks to upgrade one piece of the microtransaction legendary gear from 1 to 14; multiply that by 7, and you've got a full set of gear. At lower levels, it'll take dozens of hours to farm that, if it's even possible, the rare portions of the mat requirements don't seem to drop very often at level 14.

To sum it up, if you want to play on easy or normal, you'll love the game; if you want it to be challenging, and also enjoy tremendous amounts of tedium or want to spend thousands on micro transactions, you'll love the game.

I just looked up Redshell, because of the hateful reviews people added recently; It's definately something I don't want on my machine.

In short, it monitors your out of game activity in order to determine whether or not you visit any of Firaxis/2k's websites, and whether or not you play any of their other games. They say they don't sell the information, but whether or not that's true, they have no business sneaking themselves onto our machines.

I don't like judging a game based on the company's policy, but in this case, if you want the game, you have to be willing to let Firaxis know what sites you browse and what games you play.

Just tried it with the Rift and it's amazing. The Rift doesn't default to using the grab buttons, it detects if your thumbs are on the controllers, but off the thumbsticks which takes a little getting use to, but so far, I love it. It is pretty exhausting for a fat layabout like myself, but it is much easier to get sucked into the game.
