a fun game but it is missing the final umf to make it a great game

i really enjoyed this stronghold game
it has fixed several problems i found to be anoying in the old games
such as crappy AI, the ability to build a tower that could rain down arrows on apponent, iron gathering as a whole was kinda ridicules
though it has several new problems and does not have the same polishing touch
there was an extreme attention to detail in the first stronghold games, though some of it being minor things such as building looking different if it was next to a wall, or each material taking up physical space
mainly a bunch of minor things that makes a great difference as a whole
the new stronghold game is fun to play but to most, it won't feel like the old games you fell in love with

this game should require a controller, it is pritty much designed for it
it has a very poor keyboard controls
this game has potential in the form of modding, when the tools are more finished
if you want to play with keyboard and mouse i advice buying the original
though i never feelt the keyboard controlls really worked

but to turn to the biggest reason you might wanna buy it over the original The Graphics
if you want graphics go for the original, it's much better polished, this version may catch up with modding but the new one is not very pollished, the biggset difference is textures and and dynamic clothes which is improved but lost chapters makes up for with polishing
so if you have a controller and you like me didn't like using a keyboard in lost chapters this might be the game for you
though you might wanna wait a while, so the price falls and patches and mods fixes the issues it currently has
