This game doesn't bring a whole lot new to the genre of roguelikes, but for the cheap price, it is well worth it if you're looking for more roguelike fun.

It's in a similar vein to Slay the Spire, but it definitely has its own thing going. It's lots of fun trying out different character combinations and builds. Doing unexpected things like all mage or all scout comps are quite fun. Some of the jank comps concentrating on one buff/debuff are quite overpowered, actually.

Multiplayer is a fun, casual time for friends that like the same genre. Not much else like it in the market, so if you like deckbuilders and co-op games, I strongly suggest giving it a try.

Unlocking characters may be tedious at first. I'd suggest looking them up so you don't get bored of the same characters too quickly.

Mindless rubbish to waste your time. It's cheap as, so you won't regret it.

Cute idea that falls flat from lack of content and diversity in playthroughs. You can beat it in one go and you've seen all there is to the game. It's not an expensive game by any means, but it's not worth it anyway.

Numerous ways to build characters and numerous ways to approach fights gives this countless hours of replayability. I'm not sure if I would play it back to back to back as a full playthrough takes upwards of 100 hours or more depending on who you're playing with and how much you get into the lore, but there's certainly value in replaying it for different character stories and builds.

Just like DnD sessions, playing with others might not get a whole lot done from session to session. Without realizing, hours will have passed and you'll feel like you have only begun to scratch the surface of exploration in an area.

Great story, worldbuilding, strategy, and overall fun. I don't have much to say bad about this game.

Not a bad game for its price, but it's pretty mindless and easy to get a run going for half an hour or more. When the run goes for that long, it's pretty boring as nothing new happens. I literally afked and watched something on my other screen after I got one build going.

If you want something more complex, engaging, and difficult in the same vein as this, try Nova Drift. It has easily 100 times more depth.

TL;DR: If you like raid healing in MMOs, you'll like Mini Healer.

Cute replication of what it's like to heal in MMOs... except most of the fights here are built to keep the healer engaged (obviously), so it's a better experience than healing in MMOs most of the time. There are different classes to build and vastly different equipment builds to keep you interested in maxing the endgame. Also a cute roguelike mode unlocks after you beat the main game.

There are still a handful of things that can be improved, but it's early access still.

If you want a challenge, this game is not for you. It's mindlessly easy, even on its hardest difficulty.

If you want a mindless game to play when you just want to turn off your brain and go numb for a while, it's there for you.

Cheap as heck game with a simple concept & play, but it's quite fun and has a bit of replayability. Worth three to four times its price, honestly.

Lots of good interesting content and interesting new characters. Some characters suck, but that's nothing new with Isaac. New floors and new bosses are hard at first, but easily clearable after some experience with them.

Most of the bad reputation and reviews Repentance has is because of its nerfs to overpowered items in previous versions. I can totally understand why some people would hate it because of that. Overall, the game got harder and some people who were clearing it easily before are struggling now. That said, it's just a new learning curve and if you give it some time, you can clear every run easy again.

A counter to the critique about nerfs is that they also buffed a lot of bad items that existed before. Items like soy milk aren't an instant run ender anymore. There are a lot more usable items than before, but there are less run-winning items.
