An absolute masterpiece in Open World Action game design. This is a game that will be used as a benchmark for years to come in quality game design. It is far more accessible than Fromsoft's previous work, with mechanics acting as difficulty sliders to customize the type of experience you find most fulfilling. If you want to really challenge yourself and restrict what mechanics you use for a more "Dark Souls" experience, that's all good. If you want to leverage mechanics like summoning or spirits for a more collaborative, less intense adventure that is also fully available. The story itself is also much more upfront than previous games, new players can expect to actually know what is going on and the trajectory of the Lands Between compared to Dark Souls or Bloodborne.

Ultimately, if you're still on the fence, there's no shame in waiting for a sale to give it a shot. But personally I believe this is truly a game that is completely worth the full price, and frankly worth paying for the higher tier editions just for the base game itself (an incredibly rare feat that I can't think of another game that has the same value).

10/10 ; a must buy that sets a new bar of quality for the gaming industry.

My first foray into the mecha genre, and it knocked my expectations out of the park. The game is designed around providing the player with all the tools to solve a given problem, and the ability to tune your AC to perform exactly how you want it to *feel* and exactly how you want it to *look* makes it incredibly satisfying to go through missions with a design all your own. Of particular note is how, because there is no weapon upgrades only upgrades to base performance of the mech, it is more accessible than any other Fromsoft game in regards to swapping loadouts and builds. The story is surprisingly compelling, especially when considering how the majority of characters are known through dialogue and data entries, with characters having incredible impact with their limited interactions. The format won't be for everyone, and that's perfectly fine; same vein as why people like different types of clothes.

By far one of the most customizable games I have ever come across, the incredible modding community and the quality game content from the developer makes Rimworld an experience one can easily sink hundreds of hours into.

This game is less a game and more an interactive narrative. Normally that would be somewhat of a bad thing, but it is pulled off so well in this experience that I can say it is one of my best purchases on steam yet. Highly recommended!!

Great Game
--Controls are tight, no lag
--FPS stable (if issues arise, just lower the settings a bit)
--Levels interesting, don't get bored repeating them for a higher score!
--music is good
--finishing levels is surprisingly satisfying!

Potential Cons
--Takes a bit to master controls (admittedly much less of a problem than you might think)

Overall? I say 10/10, 5/5, 39/39, whatever scale you use, 100% awesome!
