This chapter is a short prologue to what we’ve already seen in the previous games, telling the story of the arrival of the newest and youngest cat girls in the Minaduki household, Chocola and Vanilla. Not much really happens; it’s all about getting to know the characters a bit more. I just wish it were longer!.

The story is very short, and it doesn’t really go anywhere, but it’s still fun. I think I got through it in an hour I think.

I'm really want to play NEKOPARA Vol.4 but the game didn't have discount yet :c

The best part about Higurashi When They Cry’s mystery is that it isn’t resolved by the end of Ch.1. In fact, even with all the evidence gathered thus far, it’s impossible to know for sure. Instead, players feel the need to continue onward. The only issue with this burning need to continue reading is that there are eight chapters in total, so we’ve got seven more to wait on. It’s worth noting that this is another one of those kinetic novels, meaning you don’t actually interact with anything in the game. You simply sit back, relax (or, more likely, become increasingly tense) and read. As long as you’re cool with the kinetic nature of Higurashi When They Cry then this is a must-own title for visual novel and horror fans.

Waiting sale discount for Ch.1
And also thanks Dimo, for recommended it!

Each character route clocks in somewhere around four to eight hours on top of the common route playthrough. In many ways, the themes of childhood friendship, loss and jealousy are handled surprisingly well. With that said, there are definitely some facets of the story which don’t quite add up if you really decide to analyse them. As stated earlier, the underlying story is just fine. It might be a fairly slow for some, but the focus on astronomy helps keep this slice of life tale interesting. If I choose between 4 heroine, I prefer "Saya" because she so adorable and I liked her personality more than my gf. Opps, don't tell it to my gf. She will very angry.

A nice setting. The witches, alps, contracts, prices... All of them are made in a solid and consistent way. Nene and Touko routes are especially impressive in this regard and the other routes are have their fair share of involvement successfully.

A very nice comedy. One of the most positive things about Sanoba Witch is how funny it is. Well placed jokes, extremely hilarious moments, good surprises and many other funny stuff are in there for us to see.

Another striking out point of the VN is cuteness. The characters are cute, CGs are cuter, and some SDs level of cuteness might actually kill you. I certainly had my fill when it comes to this.

This is probably the first time I believe that fanservice is one of the good points of a VN. Fits of arousal, busting a girl masturbating in the library so early in the VN are stuff that you normally use in a nukige. But these stuff actually have been incorporated into Sabbat of the Witch which is a moege in a very good way. It's not forced and funny and makes things more lively.

Im with Nene Team :D

It’s short, lighthearted, and sweet while keeping the humor up almost constantly. Despite the lack of a strong plot, if you want to see more of Mashiro after you won her over in Aokana, this is where you can find it. It’s not as engaging as the original Aokana, but it is in the end a short fandisc.

Each route has a unique story that ventures into each character’s strengths and insecurities. Asuka’s route is mostly focused on FC. While her positive attitude and dedication to a sport she’s quickly picking up as a prodigy is infectious, sometimes it falls into the “super skilled protagonist” territory. That can annoy some due to the tropey nature of it, but her route is one of the stronger ones. I legitimately found myself really enjoying the latter quarter of the story, because it was actually fun and exciting to read.

Misaki’s route is a little more complicated and introspective. She’s one of the characters that already possesses some FC experience and, like Masaya, she decided to let it go until this part in the story. This route is also one of the stronger reads. Much of it is wrapped up in how dedicated she is to the sport and trying to expand her skills. There are some Masaya-related story beats here, but divulging any further would do the route disservice. There are emotional moments here that can hit close to home, and her route stands out as a result.

With the straight-laced Rika, her approach to FC is centered around hardline dedication to proper technique. The prestigious school she attends is no slouch when it comes to high-level players in the sport. Especially with classmates Reiko Satou(in) and club president Kazunari Shindo’s considerable skill, she has a lot to live up to. Some of her route unsurprisingly involves Masaya helping her soften up and being open stepping outside her comfort zone. It’s not one of the stronger ones, but it’s fine regardless.

The least FC-focused of the four heroines is Mashiro. Her own skill as a skywalker pales in comparison to the likes of Asuka and Misaki. But if there’s one thing she’s passionate about, it’s definitely Misaki. She may be more apt to play video games above her mother’s udon restaurant, but that doesn’t stop her from being Misaki’s top fan. Mashiro’s route may very well be the most cutesy of the four. Plus the enhanced focus on the romance aspect of this route might be a more palatable route for some. Personally, I found myself enjoying the FC aspects of Aokana more, so this route didn’t hit the same way it would for some.

Now it's time for me to move on Aokana - Extra1 :D

The plot is definitely a nice one. A world with Railroads and Aerocrafts, the setting which led to current events were all impressive and consistent. The main 3 routes are also a success and Makura and Kisaki's routes were also decent.

The most successful thing about Maitetsu is how well-developed their characters are. Ignoring my preferences them as a heroine there's no flaw with them. They're all realistic and have enough background.

The mechanics of this VN is definitely impressive. Dynamic graphics, choices of which facial expressions we want to see and being able to see how long will it take to finish an episode are definitely useful features.

VN is informative for people who're interested in railways and trains. As person who took railway engineering as a subject even I learned many new stuff about them. Well the lesson I took was to build a proper railway so it's understandable why they haven't taught us this stuff but learning them made understand some stuff better. Kisaki route is also informative about management and business. Compared to the stuff we've learned about railways and trains it's tiny but it's still a thing.

Drawings are nice and cute. Once you make them dynamic it makes it even more realistic. It may make your heart to scream "MOOOEEEEEE".

A true masterpiece. This game takes the Metroidvania style, twisting and refining it into something original, and polishing it to a shine. The art and animation is stunning. The soundtrack and sound effects add an incredible level of immersion. The characters are intriguing, comedic, charming, just like the whole game.

And then there's the actual game-play: challenging platforming and combat without ever feeling unfair. Should you take too much damage, you'll respawn at the last resting point, and have the chance to reclaim your lost money, if you can brave your way back to where you fell. As you progress through the game, you unlock new areas, new bosses, new tools that help you traverse and discover a location that was previously inaccessible, or customize your character with a brand new ability. The world feels huge as you walk through it, completely open for you to explore at your leisure, and each area is full of secrets to those willing to look. There's a fast travel system that lets you travel to big areas, or an innovative portal that you can set anywhere and travel back to as needed. Everything feels alive and brimming with mystery, the backstory of the infected world slowly being revealed by the fading memories of its survivors or discovered signs in the crumbling ruins. You might skip right over them, if you want. But I found myself wanting to explore everywhere, to learn everything I could. Playing straight through gives you a tragic ending, and you could leave it at that. But there are multiple endings if you're willing to put in the time and discover a few secrets.

When the credits rolled, I couldn't believe it was made by so few people. And the DLC is free. And there's another game on the horizon, featuring another of it's fascinating characters. I could never recommend this game enough.

ust finished this VN for the first time last night. I'm someone who rarely gets impressed. Its very rare for a game/movie/anime to leave a long lasting afterthought in my mind after finishing it, usually i just go ''it was ok'' or '' it was fun'' and i forget about it.
Easily the best story i have ever read, ever. Like even real life books, its just so amazing.
