I was finally permanently banned so I can be free from the curse of coming back to this game!!!

Blizzard staff WILL ban you effectively for saying 'gg' at the wrong time, a GM told me that my reasons for the ban include typing things like: ":(" or "get good" or "sorry you're bad" or "cope" or "F team" and "I can't wait for this match to be over so I can smoke weed".

Common phrases you'd find anywhere online, but that was enough for me to get perm banned. Oh well.

My advice for anyone who plays the game is that they should either seek therapy or seek a perm ban like I did, or uninstall the game. The best way to get banned is just by socializing in a way that you know would piss off your average Always-Online Twitter or Tumblr user. (It's not that hard to do).

You should only play this game to ♥♥♥♥ around with the already-existing toxic playerbase and nothing more. It is a playground of thin skinned babies. It is a paradise for trolling because if you even so much as say 'gg' at the start of a match, people are willing to Report you (Which will lead to the mentioned bans) because people will think you are Throwing by saying that, or that you are declaring the enemy team is bad, get upset/feign being hurt and report you.

This: The song of sons and daughters
Hide the heart of who we are
Making peace to build our future
Strong, united, working 'till we fall

And we all Lift, and we're all adrift together, together...
Through the cold mist, 'till we're lifeless together, together...

I give it a 7.8 out of 10. 8.2 out of 10 once the bugs I complain about get fixed/QOL improvements. I Kickstarted this game in 2020, was finally able to play and beat it and also got 99% of the achievements in one playthrough. Some things probably mentioned will get fixed later on since I played it within 1-2 weeks from when it launched. The game feels like a mix of Super Mario RPG, has some FF7 vibes but also has other SNES JRPG elements going for it.

+ Great Soundtrack
+ Simple but engaging combat similar to Super Mario RPG
+ Lengthy game, taking roughly 50 hours to basically 'Collect everything/do everything' for the most part
+ The writing/story is above average, not bad, but not 'Great'
+ Some elements of the game gave me a sense of 'Fantasy' like I'd hope from old Final Fantasy games, if that's what you look for.

- Serai semi-often uses their abilities and literally goes off the screen when you use the skill, Venom Flurry, which you WILL use often.
- Valere very often positioning themselves poorly with the skill, Moonerang, she can and usually will move to inconvenient locations that can negatively impact how well you perform the skill, it can get very frustrating that they stand far from enemies in idle combat but when you choose the skill, they may as well jump even closer to the enemy and at odd angles so some enemies are Really close, while others are medium or long range when you likely want some symmetry and consistency. (It bothered me enough to put this here).
- The puzzles in this game, all of them, basically require zero intelligence to solve, they are made for Babies.
- The normal ending is very very very unimpressive and you'll feel like most of your effort was for nothing in the very end.
- The True Ending is genuinely not much different from the normal ending it's Literally the exact same thing as the normal ending only they added an Animation to make it look 'cooler', Garl is alive and he kicks the Fleshmancer, and the hot red-headed-now-a-demon and former-tomboy Senpai went somewhere else and is alive, I was still 'content' enough with the true ending, but I was expecting more and I'd get a feeling others will agree more than disagree
- The game sequel-baits at the end but resolves almost 80-90% of questions you may have.

Non-Spoiler Advice I'd give to Beginners? You do Not need to backtrack really early in the game, wait til you get Air travel instead of being restricted to Ground travel.

If you like good horror games or have ADHD/OCD and love pushing buttons, you'll love this.

It should cost $5-10 objectively but is free.

Not a Harry Potter fan in any sense but the gameplay always looked good when shown so I decided to give it a try. At launch its a bit rough around the edges but the game definitely has potential of being the best game no doubt for the franchise. Fans should be excited for this cause even being a non-fan, I can enjoy the world, its got the charm of the movies in them, a bit too PG-friendly dialogue for my taste but its not so subdued of violence that it gets boring.

Combat is comparable to Batman Arkham games, some depth but easy to master.

The games world is pretty huge, the Hogwarts Castle is MASSIVE, and it'd not shock me if the game operated like CDPR's Witcher series where expansions or content drops can expand the areas or world to explore more areas once more development happens.

People who Spite-Bought this to help the devs or who got it to simply counter the more obnoxious individuals who exist in society will have the ability to actually play and enjoy the game rather than let it sit there unplayed. Lots of things to do and to explore.

I hope the games success will make the developers able to make more games of this quality and improve further and give us even better games down the road that's different from their typical/average releases (As wikipedia would show what they were doing before this game).

Troll the insufferable and insecure cyber-bullies to your hearts content.
