Its like a breath of fresh air finally a game that is not solely built to peddle a storefront(looking at you COD, Halo, Battlefield and company...)
This is a game designed to be a game. Its fun and managed in a very unique way.
Your squad mates depend on you, so communicate.

Excuse me now, I must go administer some managed democracy.

*Google ProjectRome if you are looking to continue playing this game online.*

Bad Co 2, the mac daddy series of Battlefield when if comes to amazing campaigns and world destruction.
We all know EA is dumb and doesn't like to support its games. But people want to keep playing.

Steam, i hope you honor any and all refunds for the campaign purchases. Because we were lied to. Plain and simple.

343 told us for FIVE years we were going to get split screen co-op. Then to drop the bomb, a year later after the release of the game, (within said year, 343 has fixed nothing). Just to say they are cancelling split-screen to move people off that team onto others...

I would not be surprised if someone organizes a class action lawsuit...

Enjoying the beta thus far. Gun play and ttk are solid. Running movements feel slower and more deliberate. The best part, is that slide canceling is no longer a thing. I have already heard many Warzone rats complain. The Halo jumpin around corners while pre-firing gets to be a little much tho. We will see how this games content structure plays out. but for now, on what I can see and play, the bones of this game show promise.

First off the engineers and game devs have done nothing wrong here. The game is beautiful. I can see what they were striving for... The big corporate machine told them to launch the predatory monetization machine, reputation and unfinished game be damned.

For FIVE years the management at Microsoft (Phil Spencer) and 343, Bonnie Ross (forced to quit), Frank O'Connor and company, have LITERALLY lied to all our faces. And deliberately released a game that had less content than the Halo 1 demo that came with magazines. Blatantly misrepresenting, reneging on promises made 5 years ago to Halos community just suddenly CANCELING split screen coop. A year after release still half the campaign is missing... where is online coop? where is Forge? Where are the maps? Why cant i change my Armour color without having to spend Real world money? Seriously wtf is this?

Forcing Joseph Staten on of the Halo greats to smile and say "We need to reallocate that team to do other things" disgusted me. HOW ABOUT LET HIM BE HONEST, we would have trusted him... reality is you have lost 60 employees in the last 1.5 years. You are under staffed your game way released 2 years too early, and know one had the guts to delay the game for the time it needed...
Halo without split screen, coop and forge isn't Halo.

Hense why Halo 5 and its 3 hour campaign died off after 12 months. Halo Infinite is a disgrace of a game. It should never have been released. Microsoft should have shut their damn money grubbing mouths and let them build what was promised. Its costing more than expected? It's taking too long to develop? TOO BAD Microsoft when you flat out make a promise to the public after a studio had squandered your golden goose for over a decade... maybe you should have given them the time and money needed.
Sadly Microsoft just handed 343 this absolute DUMPSTER FIRE excuse of a company off to one of the Halo greats Joseph Staten, who is still working for Xbox Game Studios (M$) not even 343... in recent month to try to "calm the public" sorry... did not work.

Early Access Review
This game is in the same vein as Roller Coaster Tycoon, but snow. It has a bit of a learning curve but overall its very enjoyable. The game is about to hit 1.0 and the devs have said that it will be the final version of the game on their end. BUT they announced community led modding support for the game bringing a lot of huge opportunities for expansion. The base game as it is fun, and for the amount of time I see myself putting into it well worth 25 bucks. I am looking forward to what the community puts out for mods and such!

Already looking like Anthem 2.0... after only 1 month. EA is poised to out-do themselves...Just waiting for EA to say they aren't releasing anything anymore because "the game requires too much of a rework." "
AND the KICKER, like a damn SLAP in the face to all the people who bought the game at release. They have already dropped the price over 33%. This game needed another year of development time and it is painfully obvious. The game has good bones, that's undeniable... but it has no muscle.. no staying power. No reason for me to sink hours into the game.
The specialist setup was a blunder... Don't bite into the money grab we got suckered into... The only thing EA cares about is money they are a publicly traded company. So if their sales suffer due to their decisions you will either force EA to expand the game (where you then feel it is a worthy buy) or for EA to kill it(Anthem). Buy the game when it is in a finished state. I bet by end of 2022 it will be a fun game to play. right now it is boring. As the consumers who put money in their hands we need to stop enabling publishers pumping out half backed crap.

EA AGAIN Announcing a game with a great concept(huge scale and Dynamic weather), phenomenal graphics standards and game depth. Just another one of EA's "flip the script" and for the game to come across as a prototypical crunch development hack job. They suckered all the hardcore fanbase into buying in out of the gate.
When the game dropped. I held out hope that there was going to be more substance than the shallow beta and alpha... It was fun for the novelty at release, but I soon realized that the game was depressingly shallow. For a battlefield game, there are very few maps at release, it gets repetitive... and fast... the gun selection is a JOKE! 2-5 guns per class... bs fake names. Class system is gone the immersion is ruined... you see clones all over the place not soldiers of different factions...
I grew tired of the game as it is, after only 40 hours.

It used to be that Battlefield was DICE's baby, and EA it seemed at least, didn't really interfere with the goings on. You can really see now that DICE has no control over what they put out for a product...
It used to be that every Battlefield release was always pushing the FPS gaming sphere a little bit further, better graphics, better sound. Destruction... DICE never chased trends, they used to make the trends... WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. EA happened...
Frostbite 1.5 in the Bad Co. series brought full scale destruction. you could legit park a tank in a living room. Sadly those days are long gone... Bad Co is where i feel the series kind of peaked out. Battlefield 4 was broken for 3 months after it was released, Battlefield 1 was an unstoppable hype train because the FPS landscape at the time was nothing but future shooters, and everyone was sick of it. BF1 was the last time DICE/EA had a pulse on the genre they play ball in. BFV IMHO was Meh, it felt more like a Ray tracing tech demo and the gun play felt like COD which I despised.

Rants over, I am just sad that yet another claimed "AAA" game has the depth of an indie title... nah... indie games have more depth... I am putting this failure in EA's lap more so than DICE's.
