I stopped playing on PS4 after Safi, picked it up again during Summer Sale 2020, ooohboi, it hooked me again. All the new Monsters mean new Weapons and Armor, back in that grind. I fully enjoy this game, I'll continue supporting. If you like Capcom's flashy combos, this is definitely worth getting in to. This was my first Monster Hunter game I've played and I plan to play others. I do enjoy hunting with friends and other random hunters (when I can maintain connection).
The biggest drawback is that the random multiplayer connectivity isn't that great through Steam. If you connect with someone across the country, or in another part of the world, you'll most likely disconnect at some point during the hunt and will have to continue Solo.
You can fully Solo the story assignments in this game on your own, it'll only serve to make you a better hunter.
Grinding for gear or augments is a lot easier/funner with a hunting party though.

Still fun hunting for the best gear, super replay-ability, they seem to be pumping out a lot of DLC for it, and I still keep buying it up, it's a drug, dirty and gritty, but I needs it.

This game is a total mind-fk, it gets quite frustrating at times, still have yet to look up a strategy guide to finish it, I'm going on my whits alone. Just get it, it's totally worth it.
